Because WWE clearly didn't release him due to mental health. Plus when people he is close to like Braun post stuff that is teasing him teaming up, it's probably not him taking time off and it was purely WWE being WWE.

That isn't what I said though.

Did I say you did? If the release was a "budget cut" and reports are he was planning to comeback (with SRS saying Bray had plans and meetings with creative about coming back), he probably he isn't taking time off for mental health is he?

The 'budget cuts' reasoning that gets leaked whenever people get released now, I generally don't buy. Just seems like an easy excuse to put there as opposed to stuff like "Yeah we thought you were a prick backstage so we're canning you" or "we don't see any future for you" etc.

"Budget Cuts" my ass, seriously the rumors of it being sold of seem more and more true.

WWE is going down a fucked up path.

"Hey lets bring in goldberg and cena each for a shitload of money.....best release bray to do that"

budget is now freed up, so Cena can win the title and have a six month run with the fed.

I'm kinda with Sky in that he's probably out of the business for a while. He seems like somebody that's been through a fuck ton lately and probably wants to be left alone for a while before he does anything.

As an aside, I think people need to legitimately stop thinking every WWE release is going to go to AEW, otherwise, the roster becomes too fucking bloated and starts to turn into Impact circa 2009. They have their current homegrown stars, keep it that way, and just leave the roster alone rn.

Impact in 2009 was goat.

I also think there’s a difference between signing guys like Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins and a guy the caliber of Bray Wyatt. I could name 5 talents we can remove if we need to make room for a name like that.

I don’t think Tony cares about roster size, though. I think he’s intentionally bloating it since he’s debuting Rampage and promised it won’t be the B show.

This move doesn't surprise me, but I seriously hope that this makes WWE continue to lose some steam. I understand they still are a powerhouse, but at this point It seems like it's a miserable place to work. I wasn't a fan of his, but seems like they did him dirty.

Mean, we all know in about three months he will be in AEW so just wait around October, which is perfect for him and he will be there. Anyways, this sucks for me, and even Alexa honestly, and I hope he gets better as a person with his mental health and all.

I am half surprised by Brays release. At the same time the reports were saying that Bray had been backstage at RAW but wasn't being used. So I doubt that "budget cuts" is the main reason for his release.

I have already seen a suggestion elsewhere for Bray Wyatt to take over the Dark Order if he were to go to AEW. Which I can't be negative on the idea since I wanted to see Bray Wyatt go back to being the backwoods cult leader in the swamps of Louisiana and the Dark Order needs something, regardless that their leader is unfortunately gone and they don't want another leader.

Yeah Bray is probably the only acceptable replacement for brodie until jr is older
