I would hope so. Maybe he just wants more time off and they found it made more business sense for him to be released. Idk, I'm probably coping but it just still feels really weird to me that WWE would just cast off one of their biggest draws. The dude is in their opening signature.

Its one of the main reasons I thought he may have just simply asked for this release. I think Meltzer is the only one that's said the budget cut story so its just weird in general.

He doesn't have to come back to WWE to see him :garrett

With Bray, I'm strongly inferring that he just wanted out of a creatively unsatisfying situation for him. I diss him plenty but at the end of the day, he was meticulous and highly invested in his gimmicks, and probably had a lot of grand ideas about his on-screen direction. Yet, time after time he was unable to see it through - having his vision warped, losing nearly every pivotal match of his career and just generally falling victim to WWE's short sighted booking. For someone like him who clearly takes great pride in crafting his characters, I imagine working for WWE is a living hell. :lol So, I'd be surprised and frankly disappointed if he signed back to WWE in the near future. Braun seems a much more likely candidate to do that, because no one's ever really accused him of caring about anything other than money in this business. :lol

Yeah all of this. He seems to me more cut from the same cloth as Black. And those guys are artists first money second at this point in their careers (imo ofc)

Just think if this was all a shoot/work sort of like what Pilman did with WCW and such

See, I wish it was the case that he asked for his release. It would give me a lot of hope we'd see him return and the character return. But, I feel like the locker room would not be as concerned/would have known if he did.

I understand what everyone is saying about his creativity. It's beyond frustrating, I'm sure. I just love the Fiend character, and it's sad that the only place we'll ever see it is in WWE.

It’s common knowledge that The Fiend character wasn’t presented the way Bray imagined it. But at the same time, his interpretation involved the Illuminati and Lizard people.

But if he get creatively unfulfilled then I guess I get it. I don’t agree with the whole notion of “WWE dropped the ball on him”. He was given a lot more than guys who are a lot more talented.

Oh look. The mental health stuff that came from a bad source was most likely BS. Who would have thought it?

Yeah that source was bad, wish I'd read more into it. Either way aew better sign this money making maniac

Crazy to think that a friend of mine and I were having a discussion of how we’d bring him back to television 2 days before he was released
