Boy meets World v2 sorta

The Disney Channel is planning a follow-up series to the hit 1990's television show "Boy Meets World." TV Line is reporting that the adventures of Cory and Topanga will continue in "Girl Meets World," a new show that follows the characters' preteen daughter.

Created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly, "Boy Meets World" aired from 1993 to 2000 and starred Ben Savage as Cory Matthews. Beginning with his life as a sixth grader, the series followed Cory through high school, to college and eventually into marriage with longtime love interest, Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel).

Details on "Girl Meets World" are still very few, but the site notes that the network wants to have Savage and Fischel reprise their roles.

I do like the fact that they want Savage and Fischel back. Suppose I won't mind the chances of me watching it unless we get some awesome Topanga cleavage are very slim.

If you're talking about Shawn, he moved with Cory and Topanga to New York because he was having a hard time (as was Cory) of saying goodbye.

first question: Rider Strong (Shawn) is still alive and is now a director/producer/writer (thank you wikipedia)
second question: Danielle Fishel (Topanga) still looks pretty damn good (she was always a little thick but that's more my style anyway) She was hosting a show called the Dish (similar to E! channels The Soup) on the Style Network but I think it was cancelled.

This was one of my all time favorite shows as I was just about the same age as the main characters when it started. I would definitely give the new show a chance. Wonder if they would bring Vader and Ethan Suplee back as father and son for 1 episode??

Brilliant post.

But adding to the conversation. As far as remakes/reboots go they seem to be doing everything people would want them to but there are some things you should leave alone, so I'm still on the fence about this one.
