Surprised The Three Stooges is a big hit in USA.

My parents loved the Three Stooges and have asked me to go watch the damn movie, I probably will but I might not be impressed... Ahhh...

didn't know The Three Stooges would succeed that much.

Here is the ratings for the movie: 4.3/10 from 800 users - Metascore: 54/100

Didn't expect the Three Stooges to do that well with the reviews it is getting I expect it to collapse dramatically next week.

The Hunger Games 4th week at number one is the longest streak since Avatar had it's amazing run. Hunger Games is flying in North America with $336 million already, it might be able to get close to $375 million at this pace.

I find that the average movie go'er doesn't read reviews.

My updated Top Ten.

1. The Cabin in the Woods (Lionsgate) 8/10
2. The Hunger Games (Lionsgate) 7/10

Just so you know these are not my top ten movies of the year, just my rankings of the ones I have seen from the Box Office since this thread started, however Cabin in the Woods is my second favourite film of the year to date, really enjoyed it and might see it again!

In the next week I might give 21 Jump Street a go.

A lot of movies dropping now, Hunger Games still going pretty strong though. Think Like a Man off to a good start but I didn't think it'd be that big, movie doesn't look that bad.

Wonder what Avengers will be like next week. Massive start I assume. I'll be seeing it myself sometime in the coming weeks.

I was surprised by Think Like a Man's strong start as well. I thought that $25 million would have been more realistic. The Lucky One did okay considering it is a romance which don't normally draw that well.

The Avengers should start massive and then will suffer a big drop because of the fanboy effect. Surely they are aiming at as close to $150 million opening weekend as possible with $125 million being the absolute minimum.

In a preview of what is to come The Avengers made approximately $6 million on it's first day in Australia, that is the second biggest day ever after the last Harry Potter made around $7 million.

Friday estimates are out for the US and none of the new releases did well, looks like people are waiting for The Avengers debut next week. They are now predicting that it will open to around $150 million on it first weekend.

Raven finally hits the U.S. I see. The American Pie thing is a bit of a flop by all accounts which pleases me, looks like it made most of its money in the first few weeks and then dropped big time. Safe is also looking like another let down money wise, maybe it will do better in the UK. 21 Jump Street the suprise hit of the year so far along with Cabin in the Woods.

Might see Avengers this week.

The Avengers destroy everything and easily beats the opening weekend record set by Harry Potter.
