When I went on the holiday I unplugged my desktop computer since I didn't want any problems when I was overseas. When I returned I plugged it back in, turned on the power and there was a load pop and the smell of smoke in the air. The power section in the box blewup and because the computer was from 2004 I couldn't get a replacement and it was time to buy a new computer.

And this is what I bought;

HP TouchSmart 300
2.7Gz 500Gb 20 W7HP

I bought it yesterday and so far it has been awesome. I love the idea that it is all-in-one, there is no massive box that I have to deal with and there is just one cable, the power cord and that is it. The keyboard and mouse are wireless and it just looks great. It is running really well so far and only cost $1500 which I think is cheap.

What do you think?

I have no idea what most of it means but those are the specs. It is much quicker than my old computer, the sound is fantastic through the speakers and the screen is so clear. Plus it is cool having a touchscreen.

1500 is definitely cheap for a computer like that, I've got a Macbook and it was 1000 bucks. It's awesome, but too much money IMO. Awesome computer though KFC. Also note that I am on the family computer, which is the macbook, so I want to save money up for my own computer.
