I always figured the Orgy one would do better, but maybe that's my own nostalgia tinted glasses. good point tbh

I understand. I assumed my Donnie Darko song would crush but didnt really think ppl felt THAT strongly about RUN DMC/Aerosmith. Its hard to gauge the room. Hell I thought all the punk rockers would boost me to win with Fat Lip as well but I was incorrect. It's always a fun experiment. dont think ive actually had any sour losses this season regardless, my opponents have always taken really good tunes

I don't really consider Sum 41 punk rock...I know they are if we're doing the genre thing, but they're like Weezer for me, who I can take or leave depending on the song. Plus, by the time Sum 41 came along, they were a copy of a copy of a punk band, if that makes sense?

as someone who owns their debut album, they def punk rock (with a tiny metal edge, if the drummer and lead guitarist had any leeway) dont really see the Weezer comparison at all tbh, they were pretty standard late 90s early 00s pop punk

Semantics they are considered pop punk like Blink and Green Day and a hundred other bands from the early 2000s
