Think it would be Taker/King Mabel, El Gigante/One Man Gang or Vader/Yokozuna levels of awful.

Again, are you saying Taker can't work?

Or Vader, Yoko or OMG? Seriously?

Taker like Shawn Michaels produced his best work later in his career, but point is you are missing the point, because pretty much every time he faced a big man the match was poor, and Mabel was so bad than even the best worker would struggle to get a good match out of him. Vader was a very good worker, but again he was up against Yokozuna was over weight and was a very poor worker. Sorry, but if you have seen those matches and think they are good, then you have poor taste.

I don't know Slim. The real question here is Sid will even show up? He might have that important softball game to attend to or maybe he'll lose his wallet again.

I forgot about those things. he could lose that wallet and be like ah crap I can't make it. Or that all important community center softball game.

Taker was saddled with such poor workers, because of his rep backstage of making chicken salad out of chickenshit. Yokozuna was a very good worker for someone his size and always worked his ass off.

Workrate isn't someone doing 450 splashes or doing rehearsed chain wrestling spots.

I don't have bad taste, I just don't compare every worker with my personal favorites.

It's hard to judge One Man Gang compared to others but Vader/Yoko was pretty good for their size...

But this match wouldn't be good because of Sid, not show.

Gang is one of the worse wrestlers in history IMO and El Giante was even worse RIP.

Sounds like it...

Vader had some of the best matches of the 90s... Sting, Flair, Jack, Kobashi, Misawa.

Hell the man even made Shawn Michaels look like a good wrestler, that's a really good feat.

Are you kidding me? OMG isn't even close to the worst wrestlers in history. He was a very capable worker and for you to just throw a blanket statement like that, just further shows your knowledge of what constitutes whats good and bad in wrestling.

Enough of the Wrestlecrap markfest.

It's like people in this thread are equating belt sizes to workrate.

Someone doesn't pay attention. If you read my reviews of WCW PPV's from the 90s you will see that I am a huge Vader fan and consider him one of the greatest big men in history, but that doesn't change the fact that he was in the ring with Yokozuna who at that point Chris Benoit would have struggled to have gotten a good match out of.

Guy was 700 legit lbs. It's amazing he could even get into the ring.

Vader was a great worker, Boss Man was a great worker, Bam Bam was a great worker etc.

This idea that I base a wrestlers talent on their size is just you being narrow minded, and it is getting boring now.

Now in an attempt to get back on topic, I will say this, Sid vs Show would have been a decent upper mid-card match that we probably would have seen in WCW if Sid wasn't in WWF at the time. I wouldn't really want to see it, and I'm glad it didn't happen, but it would have been much better than Khali vs Show, or Khali vs El Gigante, or Show vs El Gigante, etc.
