That explanation you gave seems based on exactly one game I can recall (Raccoon City Mafia), I don't think you can present that as a general case for "Poyser does this as scum and since he doesn't do it here he isn't scum".

No it’s much more likely he’s town that thinks you might be scum (probably wrong but hey ho) and is pushing you because he’s going for a scum read rather than scum who got into hot water for voting you and then goes back to voting you when it’s more than obvious nobody else thinks you’re scum. There’s just no strategy there whatsoever unless he’s literally going for the too bad to be scum town reads, and that’s highly unlikely

Huh? That makes no sense. I have teal in my PM. I swore I saw teal and orange somewhere. I was apparently wrong or am thinking of something else. I merely pointed it so no one slid by because they knew a color. If I was scum, why would I jump in with such a post without checking to be sure I was right?
