For me, Resident Evil was great up until 4. Then 5 kind of screwed things up. I heard Revelations was good and ORC sucked, but for me, the trailer for 6 was trash.

Silent Hill is a series I'm still discovering. I've played Shattered Memories and I'm currently playing 2 and it's great so far.

I'm also playing The Suffering right now and that game is crazy.

That being said, are there any that you guys consider the best? (or any for PC? lol)

I think I remember the first Alone In The Dark being a very good game. It's been awhile since I played it but Resident Evil sort of is in the forefront of the Survival Horror pack. I've only played Silent Hill 1 and it was good but I never beat it. I really liked Parasite Eve for Playstation as well. Clock Tower may be the best also. Not the Japanese one but the US one.

Yeah. I've played most all of the Resident Evil games, and personally, those with static angles were superior. One of the scariest games I ever played was RE3: Nenesis.

Resident Evil pretty much owns the genre now. I enjoyed the first one a lot, but my interest slowly dropped off with each sequel.

That Dead Rising 2 game got a ton of good reviews, I still want to play that.

Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games ever not just for this genre. I enjoy the Clock Tower games as well. Alan Wake, could fall under this category too. Trying to get into the new game Catherine right now. It's pretty damn difficult, though.

I didn't care for The Suffering.

Alone in the Dark was a GOD AWFUL game.

My favorite Horror Survivals thus far have to be Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alan Wake, and Left 4 Dead.

You mean the new one right? Well newest anyways. Never played any past the first two. First one was amazing.
I actually just found my Parasite Eve game and it's actually way better than I remembered. RPG elements in a survival horror is pretty awesome. I just bought The Third Birthday so I hope that one is pretty good as well.
