^Damn man, give some luv to the people that made these muthafuckas.

How about Eazy-E? You all kno he made Gangsta Rap, n it basically died when he n Pac left? I got respect for B.I.G, but damn Ice T hasn't made any shit lately, Cube is just mainstream, and all of these dudes today are just straight up dumb as fuck on the mic.

Rap has changed a lot, n all these Down South mothafuckas kill me. I like Jeezy's Thug Motivation CD, but damn anything else Southern just kills me. I like a few Lil Wyte songs haha. I like Reggaeton rap but shit Hip Hop is dead.

Some of my favorite rappers are 2pac, Ludacris, Immortal Technique, The Game, Eazy-E but my all time favorite is Nate Dogg. Noone can blend beat and lyrics like Nate. I also listen to some latin rap but only really like a couple artists.

Favorite diss songs:
1.When we ride on our enemies by 2pac
2.Ghost unit by Game
3.S*** hits the fan by Obie Trice

Re: Greatest Rapper?

DMX, no question. The dude got a billion things to say, everything he puts out is something that you'll remember. It's a fuckin shame whats going on with him. Anyone thats ever listened to him would tell you that whether he's rapping or not, he's still the rawest motherfucker out there. It really would have been something to see if he was around during the days of NWA. Fuck Lil Wayne, fuck Kanye, fuck all those weak ass fuckers that like to call themselves "rappers". The last real rapper the world ever had was DMX.

Re: Greatest Rapper?

LOL.... DMX sucks so bad!

Fuck "Rappers"....... MC's deserve our plaudits.

Most of the jokers mentioned in this thread are just acting macho over someone elses beats.... No musical vision, innovation or individuality; simply (as James Brown used to say) "talkin' loud, but sayin' nothin' ". Most of these fools don't even deserve to be considered HipHop as they have no undertanding of what HipHop CULTURE is... "Rap music" yeah, but Hip Hop? Fuck nooooooooo.

Not to say that some nice music hasn't been made since, but in terms of creativity/progression, HipHop (or "Rap music" if anyone continues to insist) was virtually dead by the mid-90's.

When considering creativity, musical vision, lyrical content, rhyme flows, production, guys like Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, KRS-One, Juice Crew (Marley Marl, Big-Daddy Kane, Masta Ace, Biz Markie etc.), early Pete Rock, Nas's 'Illmatic' LP, Main Source's 'Breaking Atoms' LP, the first 3 Gang Star LPs, Organized Konfusion and a bunch of others will NEVER be surpassed.

And LOL @ the ridiculous notion that 2-Pac made HipHop a worldwide phenemon... He was just a a guy that happened to cross-over into the pop market in the US. A market which was already a lucrative market for rappers and hiphop artists thanks to the ground laid and barriers broken by many artists far more deserving of the respect and attention 2Pac typically gets amongst "Rap Music" fans .

Run DMC took hiphop to the global mainstream over ten years earlier.

NWA: By no means the BIRTH of Gangster Rap... Whilst upping the ante and dropping without a doubt the best ever gangster rap LP in 'Straight Outta Compton' they effectively served to KILL gangster rap.... Both established and fledgeling artsist alike with such a thematic direction simply traded their individuality for an LA Raiders bball cap and became copyists.

...And whilst I couldn't tie him into any of the topics of my mini-rant, maximum props to Slick MUFUCKIN' Rick - Now THAT's an MC!!!!!
