I pretend that one doesn’t exist and it’s quite easy considering it’s an alternate sequel to the first one anyway just like how the new Halloween‘s are so I just stick with my one through three continuity.

Simpson the sequels director said that they were going to try to do a fourth one in that timeline a couple years ago but at this point I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

I’m not sure a remake would be possible today to be honest. You’d have to find a really sensitive way to treat the subject matter. That’s one reason I think the sequels work really well is because after the opening scene in 2 where they say she got her sex surgery they never really bring it up again. Angela is just Angela. Casting would also be a real challenge I would think if they stick to teens and keeping the twist a secret like they did originally.

Or do it in reverse have a girl transitioning to a boy.
