I am jealous, lol. I was kicked out of band, but not Jazz band, because I couldn't read and refuse to learn how to read.

I was almost kicked out bc I told the band director I wasn't doing the "optional" one on one training after school lmao creepy fuck lived near me at the time too and came to my house uninvited the summer before high school to try and get me to change my mind about quitting

No i believe ur anecdote n know what ur saying. I just see manipulatimg your amp tone as part of mastering the axe which is why the best can sound good everywhere but god like on the good shit. Its all good tho we can agree to disagree n move on regardless, its semantics at this point

Yeah i think the viking stuff lacks a bit of creativity n variety for me. Its a bit himbo too in lyrics at times. I guess ud be right in the geek, manly man metal for the sake of manlyness alone doesnt resonate w me as much

I was much better at band than sports but I stuck with football longer bc the coaches were more pleasant than the band directors lol

I quit percussion in high school cuz the one on one teacher was legit just a verbally abusive dick. Different reasons but i feel u, thats gross

Meant Geeky as in you can tell the musicains were "band geeks" or "music geeks" like they really love music and want to hone in their craft. Like RUSH would a "geeky" rock band. My comment was just simply meant to be a joke, lol.

Yeah, mine was teh same, but Jazz teacher was a WWII that was super chill and awesome.

Wtf. Yeah our main teacher was nice if a bit excentric n flamboyant but my drum teaxher was some arrogant old fuck who would basically treat you like dirt for daring not to play things perfectly on the first shot. Awful dude
