Sid explains his version of the story in a RF Video shoot interview (they pulled it from YouTube. He actually is a nice guy, but you can tell his memory is damaged too.

The more you learn about this business behind the scenes the more incredible it seems. Rob Russen is a promoter down here in Florida for like 25-30 years, and he always wanted to write a book about wrestling. His title is perfect "This circus has no tent". This guy knew alot, and actually brought Eric Bischoff into wrestling. He was Russens assistant, and tried to network (weasel) Russens contacts away. Russen pinned him by his throat against a wall making it crystal clear thats a no-no.

These are really interesting stories. I'm surprised theres not a lot of comments. Just thinking about the Sabu story is frightening. The Haku story seems like a bit of a stretch though.

Thanks Airfixx.

Heres another story Blair told on his wrestling internet radio show.

Paul "Mr Wonderful" Orndorff Part I

Florida Championship Wresling again areound early 80s. Orndorff is an admited full blooded redneck, but a true tough guy. Blair and Paul were chilling in the locker room after a show, and Tony Atlas was ranting llike a madman in a fit of roidrage. Atlas was an incredibly built black guy whose physique was as good as Lugers in his prime.

Anyway Tonys screamin "I can take any one of you MoFos in here! In a real fight Id whip any one of y'alls asses! Except for maybe Andre (yeah Andre was present), but I could beat the rest of you!" and on and on he went. Orndorffs spittin into a cup of dip just quietly watching (Roid rages were/are common in the business), and says "BB how much longer do we have top put up with this shit?!"

Well they were carpooling together and Atlas is shotgun. Pauls in back, and Blairs driving. Still Atlas is going on about himself! "I mean it! Id whip anybody in this busines! Except for maybe Andre! Im the toughest guy in this car!". Orndorff finally pipes up "Thats Bullshit Tony! I'd whip your ass!". Atlas in a fury says "Oh you want to try?!" Paul yells "Pull over the car BB!"

So Blair pulls over, and they all get out. Its nightime along some highway. So these two start right away by grabbing onto each other - realize Tony is much bigger. Suddenly Atlas starts howling "AAAAA! He bit my ear! That fuckin cracker bit off my ear!" (30 yrs before Tyson, but this was a streetfight). Sure enough Orndorff bit off a section of Tonys ear. Paul says "You want to keep goin?!", and Atlas says "I need to go to a hospital! I cant believe he bit my ear!"

They all pile in the car sriving to a hospital, and Tony strts up again "Damnit Paul if you didnt take that cheap shot Id whooped your honkey ass!". Immediately Orndorff yells again "Pull over the car BB!", but Atlas quickly says "No! No Im done! I need a hospital". Aah the good old days.

HAHAHAHA.....

More Ordorff (from wiki):

"Incident with Vader

During an encounter backstage, Vader had reportedly been asked by Kevin Sullivan and several others to come and do a crucial interview segment. Vader was abusive, tired, and injured. There was also speculation of his drinking and medicating for injuries that caused him to have mood swings. Kevin Sullivan went to Paul Orndorff and asked him to go ask Vader to do the interview before the union workers had to take their break. Vader says that Orndorff was abusive to him and started it. Orndorff claims that Vader was abusive. A brief fight ensued that had apparently been brewing for some time. Accounts of this notorious real-life altercation generally claim that the upper hand was held by Orndorff, who'd practically "begged Vader to start something" as tensions grew [1]. The two were separated in short time. Afterwards, Vader was soon released from World Championship Wrestling. Orndorff's reputation as a 'legit tough guy' was cemented by this altercation for three reasons. One, Vader knocked Orndorff off his feet with the first flurry of blows and Orndorff came back. Two, Orndorff was impaired by a severely impaired arm that had started to atrophy due to nerve damage caused by injuries in the ring that left him all but one armed. Three, he overcame the much larger (400+ pound) ex-NFL lineman in such a vicious way.

Both men tell very different accounts of this incident, Orndorff stating that he was simply the better man in the fight, and Vader stating that, fearing for his position in the company, he relented in his assault on Orndorff after taking him off his feet with his first strike."

So Orndorff v Haku in the lockeroom fantasy beatdown league, anyone?

A shoot match between these two will defo make the list next time I compile a dream 'Mania card! LOL

AAAA! You jacked Part II! LOL! Thats ok. To polish the story up Vader dropped the one armed Orndorff (Injury was from a tour of matches against Hogan that Ornorff worked though cause they had a HUGE money feud, but permanrntly disabled him.), and Orndorff got up, AND WHOOPED VADERS ASS! Vader did go on verbally that he couldnt do it again (like Tony Atlas did), and Paul then proceeded to do it again! THATS why Vaders name as a tough guy was shot.

Side note - I went to school with Paul Orndorff Jr in 1st and 2nd grade at Brandon Academy. The 4th and 5th graders would pick on him because of who his dad was. That kid was tough, and I never saw him get beat by the bigger stronger kids. Chip off the ol block.

Ok. Even some hardcore MMA fans would like this one. This involves the fierce hate between Ken Shamrock, and The Nasty Boys.

Way back when Ken used to be in Pro Wrestling before fighting his first MMA match. He had RETURNED to ProWrestling after leaving the UFC to go to the then WWF. Well anyway Ken had a buddy that got beat up by the Nasties cause (if I remember correctly) they were too stiff in the match. Ken went to their hotel room to beat their ass. He broke in and tried at least. Remember the Nasties arent punks (see Scott Hall).

Basically the two of them hospitalized Ken - remember this was before his MMA prime even! As the years went by and Shamrock became the vanguard for the UFC and all of MMA both Nasty Boys would tell this story repeatedly. Anyone that did or didnt want to hear it heard about how they legitimately hospitalized Ken Shamrock - BIG PROBLEM is when they told it it was only one of them that beat on him. Basically they lied.

At this point Ken is in WWF, and Nasties in WCW. Sometimes rival promotions will bump into the competition in airports on crossed flights (remember the industry is big on running a show ahead of each other). Well Ken arrives and is told the Nasty Boys are there. The two are at the bar, and Shamrock very cooly walks up behind them (there are witnesses). Of course Ken haed gotten wind of how they ran their mouth and lied to boot.

The two Nasties were noticably shaken by Kens appearance. He directly gets in both of their faces saying he heard whats been said. They both balk and start babbling how it was a long time ago, they never said that, blah blah blah... Anyway their lies on top of lies pissed Ken off and he tried to jump them there, but thankfully the witnesses that walked over with Ken could see that coming, and pulled him off. Security came, but this was pre-911 so nobody went to jail. They shut their mouth up after that.
