ATTN: People who call wrestlers by their real first names

I don't see why people refer to wrestlers by their real names. A wrestler name is their character's name, not the actual person. Anything they do on screen is a result of their character. Glen Jacobs doesn't set people on fire, Kane does. Mark Calloway doesn't bury people, Undertaker does. I don't know the reason why people call wrestler's by their real names, but I prefer calling them by their wrestler names while talking about them in WWE because they're characters.

In your examples aren't you referring to the performers and not the characters though? Triple H isn't taking over the company Paul Levesque (golly, how do I spell that?), CM Punk is fine Phil Brooks is the one who's suffering. I suppose that could be a justification of using the names.

I call wrestlers by their real names sometimes. Like John Cena, or Randy Orton, or Cody Rhodes. And, of course, Dwaaaayne Johnson, lol.

Seriously, though, I don't even know what most of their real names are. When Punk mentioned 'Paul Leveque' in that old promo, I was like "Who the fuck is Paul Leveque?" I eventually remembered reading a HHH bio, but I never figured out who 'Phil Brooks' is until I heard someone mention it on this forum, lol.

I agree, but I've never found this issue on WWE Forums. I've seen it on numerous other forums, but they normally get shot down as well. You are certainly not alone in hating people who unnecessarily use their first name instead of kayfabe name.
