It still seems to me like these protesters are the real problem here. Everyone always wants to take the side of the underdogs because everyone wants to stick it to society when things like this happen, but I have yet to see authorities in this particular instance demonstrating inhumanity as what's being reported. Many countries also don't have freedom of press, so I'm not even sure why that's something that's being blown out of proportion because it's not uncommon for this area of the world. And no matter where you live in the world, hiding your face is typically a method used by people who want to avoid prosecution when they know they're breaking the law. Why would a "peaceful protester" go to such lengths? Unless of course they know deep down that they're breaking the law and this is all just a juvenile pose.
And honestly, just look at what they're protesting. The demolition of a park? Oh please. Do you have any idea how many times parks get demolished in North America when a corporation buys the land and decides to build something that boosts the local economy, such as a mall? It happens literally every week somewhere in the continent. Don't want to get blasted with a water cannon? Go the fuck home. Simple as that.
