I found Revenant and Bridge of Spies while both good were waayy to long in the middle and def bored me at times.
Mad Max was really fucking overrated....it was just two long car chases...it looked amazing but...like it wasn't a masterpiece and a lot of people were blowing it...I also didn't care for Spectre.

As far as underrated.... Bone Tomahawk had absolutely no buzz and was really quite good. Soaked in Bleach is probably one of the best docs I've seen recently just because it really shows just how clear it is that Courtney had Kurt killed. Staten Island Summer, Turbo Kid, & Dope no one talks about and those were all pretty damn decent. Finally I thought Straight Outta Compton was a revelation and should have gotten some best picture nomination love from the Oscars.

Yeah I definitely agree with you on Revenant and Bridge of Spies. I actually haven't seen Mad Max: FR yet. I absolutely loved Straight Outta Compton and have been meaning to see Dope, nice to see it has the Booty seal of approval.

Dope isn't amazing but it's good enough that people should have talked about it at all...and seemingly NO ONE has

I do not get the Mad Max was overrated take. It was a 2 hour chase...that's not a bad thing.

Also, it, along with Deadpool and maybe John Wick, showed you could still be successful with an R rating, and not dilute it down to get a PG-13.

I really enjoyed it, and have watched it a couple of times on cable since

It's not a bad movie but everyone I know personally were always telling me it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and I just felt it had no substance. Opinions vary sir.

Fury Road is totally overrated BECAUSE it's just a two hour car chase. When was the last time a movie with so little substance received such critical acclaim? Sure the special effects were good, but just like Avatar, there was little to no story to back them up. It was a cool movie but I hesitate to throw out the word great since I'm more of a substance over style guy.

Bone Tomahawk was awesome, one of the best movies I saw last year.

And since I'm here I shall ask a question...if you HAD to make some of the new Star Wars characters gay, which ones would they be and why? Btw, droids count.

Also, thoughts on Pablo Sandoval's belt?

Many Bothans died to bring you this Tapatalk message.

Clearly Prime Minister Snope is a sexual predator who has turned Kylo Ren to the "Gay" Dark Side. Also Leia is a transgender man so her and Han are now gay lovers. Luke Skywalker has become A sexual after making out with his sister.

Also Pablo Sandoval's belt is one of the worst cases I've ever seen of giving up during a baseball game. These belts get paid good money to play a game and he just gives up in the middle of a game like nothing. Good riddance.

I think the fact that they made a compelling story out of a 2 hour car chase is EXACTLY what made Fury Road so good.

I really don't get the "no story" stuff about that movie.

There was a story. It wasn't super deep or overly thought provoking, but it didn't need to be. And at least it wasn't a god forsaken retread story.

The key there is that you thought it was compelling while I was bored to tears that all they were doing was driving one way and then the other. I just don't see "let's go this way, let's go that way, save the pregnant women" as being compelling material.

Also, it was very much a retread...of the other Mad Max movies that came before it. Not saying that's a bad thing mind you, but it IS a thing nonetheless.
