I get your point. However, in the same breath, I still feel it was a poor way to end the match and it should've taken Lesnar a little more than some F5's. The Undertaker may be beaten up from his previous battles and such, but he also gets a year to rest from them. WWE saying that time is catching up with him....well, it doesn't really make sense. I mean he's the deadman...he's supposed to be unstoppable....obviously he's a man, yes, but despite "time," he's not really just a man. He's The Undertaker. WWE making him seem like a man was a bad move if you ask me: he's essentially immortal. The way they fashioned the storyline kind of makes him not feel like such a badass.Didn't a graphic that said 21-1 immiedtely pop on the screen following Brock's victory? That alone proves beyond all doubts that the match finish was planned all along. They wouldn't have that ready to pop up on the screen if it wasn't.
To me, all of that simply means that previous battles ended up taking a serious toll on Undertaker's body, and thus made it easier for Lesnar to step in and destroy what was left of him. I'm not defending the match finish per se as I have mixed feelings about it (I called it one of the worst booking decisions of all time this morning, but I've somewhat mellowed on that) but really, that's exactly what it looks like - that Taker was just a shell of his former self and couldn't hang with a beast like Lesnar like he would have been able to do back in his prime, or even five years ago. They even mentioned that in one of the video promos during the build up... something about how time is starting to take it's toll on the Dead Man.
This is not to say that he couldn't have lost to Brock (even though I wish he wouldn't have), but I think it should've taken more than what it did. Also, who knows...they might have had other plans for Brock to beat Taker in the match....but, because he was injured, they might have made a last minute decision to have Brock just F5 him a couple times and get the win.
