NoDQ.com > TNA > Report: WWE/WCW legend in Orlando
Posted by Mark Virginia on 05/03/2010 at 12:01 PM

According to PWInsider.com, former WWE and WCW superstar Lex Luger is in Orlando and expected to play some sort of role on tonight's Impact.

The following matches and segments are being advertised for tonight's live episode of TNA Impact on Spike:

- Rob Van Dam will defend the TNA World Heavyweight title. No opponent has been named yet, but RVD will face one of the top contenders in TNA's new Top Ranking System.

- Beer Money vs. The Motor City Machine Guns.

- After Abyss defeated Ric Flair last week, who will Hulk Hogan give Ric Flair's Hall of Fame ring to?

- The debut of Orlando Jordan's new interview segment - "O-Zone" - with special guest Rob Terry.

- Douglas Williams will make his first appearance since being stripped of the X Division Title at TNA Lockdown for being unable to appear.

When will TNA learn that too many former WWE/WCW superstars is just too much. They need a limit.

I am pretty sure Lex Luger is not even physically able to compete in a match at all. He is probably just making an appearance.

Yea he had a stroke(s) couple years back. I just don't agree with Lex Luger being a part of TNA. Even though he isn't wrestling, that is just another old name they are looking at to bring "interest and ratings in"

Unless it's only a one shot deal, than that is a different story.

In a scene similar to the family guy episode when Peter had a stroke from eating too many hamburgers.

Hogan: Lex, brother I haven't seen you in ages. How ya been dude?

Lex Luger: Uh had better days Hulk. Had better days.

So it's only a matter of time before Horace Hogan, Buff Bagwell, The Kiss Demon and Goldberg come back to squash the TNA originals, am I right?

And in another segment

Hulk Hogan: On behalf of TNA I would like to present Lex Luger with this honorary TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Lex Luger: Uh what the hell are you doing?

Hulk Hogan: I'm giving you this belt brother.

Lex Luger: You are handing it to my stroke arm. This is my good arm.

:sigh: Another episode of RHW: Retirement Home Wrestling I will NOT be watching. Any of you TNA smarks care to justify why TNA looks more like the failed WCW every week?

Really don't get the big deal here...

He won't be wrestling. It will be like a small program with Hogan and shit, and he might get involved in some of the matches. I'd rather see Lex Luger than Brutus Beefcake.

TNA is set to make a major announcement on the next Impact!!!

Rob Van Dam will face one of his toughest opponents yet at Sacrifice for the TNA World Championship. The man he will square off against was THE FACE of pro-wrestling in late 2000/early 2001 and has had nothing but over-the-top commercial success since his WCW run. Ladies and Gentlemen.....bow to MIKE SANDERS!!!!
