AFA Earns Broadcasting Deals
With ESPN, ABC, and FOX

The American Football Association has inked a deal with major sports Broadcasters ESPN, ABC Sports, and FOX Sports. Each deal includes rights to air AFA games nationally and in team markets. The deal also brings major eyes to the league as commissioner Peyton Manning will serve as one of the voices of AFA Football on ESPN as part of the contract. The league is set to start play in April of 2022 with games taking place on both Saturdays and Sundays at intervals: 3 games each day, at Noon, 4PM, and 8 PM EST. ABC will attain exclusive rights to the playoff series, the Conference Finals and AFA Championship Game, respectively.

Andrew Luck To Play for AFA 2011 NFL 1st Overall Draft Pick Andrew Luck has opted to unretire to not re-join the NFL, but to join the new American Football Association, set to start play in April 2022. The move comes as another major gain for the league, who over the last few months also managed to garner television and streaming deals with ESPN, ABC, and FOX. Luck mentioned he felt good about his physical shape and decided it was time to return to Football, but not in the NFL. AFA Commissioner Peyton Manning expressed this as a major win for the league and would help create a more interesting product for the viewer and fans all over.​

Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, and Teddy Bridgewater Join AFA Ranks Alongside Bevy of NFL Journeymen Quarterbacks The American Football Association has continued to threaten the National Football League's stranglehold on American Football with the shocking announcement that several NFL free agent quarterbacks will be entering within the AFA's first-ever draft, including 2015 MVP Cam Newton, 2014 Rookie of the Year Teddy Bridgewater, and 3x Pro Bowler Andy Dalton. The reason for this major exodus is yet to be explained, though one reason may be to be able to vie for more starting positions within the football world. Seeing an opening, several more quarterbacks joined in the move from the NFL to the AFA. Several names include: ​ - Blake Bortles - Sam Darnold - Nate Sudfield - Tyrod Taylor - Jacoby Brissett - Marcus Mariota - Mitchell Trubisky - Nathan Peterman - Josh Rosen - Brett Rypien - Taysom Hill - Jameis Winston​

Colin Kaepernick to Join AFA Draft Colin Kaepernick, the polarizing former NFL Quarterback, has placed his name within the pool of participants within the AFA's first draft coming in March. Kaepernick, 33, last played in the NFL in 2016 after much controversy for his decision to take a knee during the National Anthem of the United States of America. Though he has expressed continued interest in playing for the NFL, teams seemingly had no interest in signing him to play for their franchises. However, Kaepernick is confident that he'll be given a chance in the American Football League, alongside other quarterbacks.​

CFL Quarterbacks to Join AFA Draft Another major piece of news coming in for the AFA is the announcement that several Canadian Football League Quarterbacks will be joining in the American Football League's Entry Draft in April. Among the major names within the CFL's ranks: ​ - Josh Freeman - Logan Kilgore - Bo Levi Mitchell - Hugo Richard - Nathan Rourke - David Watford - Paxton Lynch - Devlin Hodges​

Vince Young to Unretire for AFA Vince Young, the former NFL & CFL Quarterback will unretire for a few more seasons to join the AFA's Entry Draft. Young, 38, stated he felt good about his body despite not playing for a few years and felt the time was right to join a new league and show everyone why he was respected during his time with the Tennessee Titans. It'll be interesting to see which team if any takes Young to be their leader one last time.​

NCAA Quarterbacks to Forego NFL Draft for AFA Entry Draft The American Football Association has seemingly done it again, this time with the NCAA's young crop of quarterbacks who were set to join the NFL Draft this season. Among the group includes Sam Howell, the North Carolina Tar-Heel quarterback, and Tanner Morgan, the University of Minnesota's main man. Others include: ​ - Kenny Pickett (Pittsburgh Panthers) - Hendon Hooker (Tennessee Volunteers) - Jake Hoener (Fresno State Bulldogs) - Chris Reynolds (Charlotte 49ers) - Desmond Ridder (Cincinnati Bearcats) - Chase Brice (Appalachian State Mountaineers) - Lindsey Scott (Nicholls State University Colonels)​
