All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite Discussion Thread

Ambrose is one of my least favorite wrestlers, but my turn on him was slow and it started pretty much when he started wearing the wife beaters and then changed his finish to the DDT. I liked his FCW gear and Shield gear and I liked his Headlock Driver finish when others don’t and I like his Death Rider lifting DDT.

I think we've already had a discussion about my hatred of the headlock driver as a move so I'll take his shitty DDT over it even though I'm not really a fan of it either, and we don't even need to get into that again since no one's opinion is gonna change lmao but that lifting DDT was cool af though for sure.

This is the first AEW anything I’ve ever seen(no PPVs, TV shows, etc) and I was very entertained.

I get why people watch this live and catch NXT the next day

Damn you didn't even watch their first PPV like everyone else did? I can't speak for Dynamite bc I haven't seen a full episode yet, but I will say NXT has been so far since it went to two hours on NXT so I'd still wanna watch it live when I can...but you watch NXT and did watch Dynamite tonight so you're at a better position to compare them than I am obviously.

That’s why I said most don’t like it. I’ll personally take that or the lifting DDT. My only point was I like things he did before the Ambrose I hate and things afterwards so it’s not just because it’s him. He can definitely turn my view around if he removes most of the things I can’t stand. Though I’m still not super sold on his character or ring work. That can change as well, though.

NXT is usually solid, but I’ll watch Dynamite over it for the foreseeable future since NXT is one of three main shows WWE puts on and AEW only has the one.

Pretty good episode overall, the two opening tag matches and Janela vs Omega were fun.

DDP was the highlight imo, I marked out.

I appreciate the little things like how Kenny's championship win in AAA was mentioned and Stardom for Jaime Hayter. Great debut for Jamie, women's division doesn't have a lot of great personalities and she oozes it in spades. She's a young rising star in Stardom (and they have a ton of those so i love this partnership)


Jericho was hilarious again. This dude really stole a crutch. Begged Cody to be arrested. Cody punching the glass was an awesome moment.

Janela's sell of the V-trigger was Okada level. Really looked good tonight.

Pac slowly becoming my favorite. Great match with Mox tonight. Draw was a smart idea. Can't have Pac lose two weeks in a row, can't have Mox lose this early. It also establishes the concept of draw and urgency of time limits


Btw if you didn't watch on Fite, there was an extra segment. Pac was about to kill Mox chair aligned on his head, going for top rope move and Kenny came out to make the save. The duo after weighing their choices, being face to face, clotheslined Pac out of the ring. Story being Omega will not fight a broken Mox. Hangman also came out, Pac escaped, and challenged Pac at Full Gear. All the while, Mox paced at the entrance area


Best show since week two.

SCU and Dark Order was the best match even if it was an afterthought for Jericho and his misfits..

Joey Janela sucks, Omega couldn't drag a good match out of him.

Not street profits are greener than Gran and the drizzling shits......haven't seen people so blown up and missing strikes since Divas had a revolution.

That British chick has some potential, Britt Baker is meh....and the fuck is up with Brandi going evil monkey on the backstage chick?

Cody punching the glass should be on botchamania or fuck maffew.

This show wasn't that good.....actually it kind of sucked.

And imagine if WWE booked a draw to ehd their show.....

Honestly AEW's best Match in my opinion this Week was Private Party vs Lucha Bros. The two teams never stopped at all, they kept going for it all and it was pleasure to watch. Private Party keep impressing as they were inches away from going to the Finals in the Tag Title Tournament. I do find it a little bit funny that people were Pro-Lucha Bros after what they did to SCU. After the great Match those two Teams had, they thrown out SCU vs Dark Order and no way could they had a Match at that same level. I found it kinda disrespectful especially what was on the line, to turn a good majority of attention to the Inner Circle. I like the brawl though and Jericho remembering we've got Tickets was so funny and corny at the same time. Never forget your Tickets people.

I did also find it funny the AEW Commentating Crew trying to put over Joey Janela as a Wrestler and not a guy just to do the High Spots Hardcore Stuff. If they wanted to show that, I didn't see it this time around so fail on that AEW this Week. Young Bucks vs Best friends I thought was good as well with two teams trying to get momentum after being eliminated in the Tag Tournament. Young Bucks vs Ortiz/Santana at Full Gear is going to amazing and a dream Tag Match I thought I would never see thinking those guys would be Impact guys for life. Still in a losing effort Best Friends looked good as well.

JAMIE...JAMIE Hayter being apart of this Show I was so happy to see. Being a fan of Joshi especially Stardom she is for sure a girl I have a high regard for and she's young as well, so by what she's been doing with Stardom in this last tour I expect her to get better and better with time. Baker was alright in the Match, but I clearly saw Jamie and Britt and how the skills in the Ring are not on the same levels. Jamie looks good in her debut then gets jumped by Brandi what the fuck? Did I miss a Segment last Week, why is she putting hands on Talent especially ones who would break her in half in the Ring. I'm sure we'll get our answers with that next Week.

Moxley vs Pac a Draw perfect decision for two guys who are going to be important to the Company going forward. I found it funny Pac attacked Moxley, because Jon would of done the same thing to Pac if he came out first. Pac vs Moxley at Full Gear should be locked in who knows maybe 2 outta 3 falls?
