I enjoyed the movie a lot more than Prometheus or Covenant but I'd still rank any movie from the quadrilogy over it.

It starts very strong then characters become irritating and stupid in the last third for some reason. Loads of key jangling but it's done well, except that one line from Aliens that is used by another character and it felt very awkward and forced.

in the climax was very scary, shame they didn't use it in a better way.

I also liked the relationship between Rain and Andy, the latter's actor was great.

It comes out on Digital on October 15th, and Blu Ray on December 3rd. I could of seen a Cam version of this by now but I want to see this Film the highest Quality like I did the two Dune Films.

Having seen this twice, I think it currently sits near the middle for me. My rankings would be...

1. Alien
2. Aliens
3. Alien 3 workprint
4. Prometheus
5. Romulus
6. Resurrection
7. Covenant
8. Alien 3 theatrical

I do think it might fall below Resurrection when I re-watch them both, but that's going to be awhile from now.

It's very much a Jeunet film, and I appreciate the fact that he made his movie within the Alien universe. I just think Ryder is very off putting and kind of takes me out of a lot of the movie. I can buy everyone else as their character, but for some reason I just see her as Winona Ryder playing a role and I zone out.
