Making this a triple threat match is further killing the storyline. This would be a one stupid choice on the WWE's part.
I think Del Rio will stay the #1 contender; it's just his opportunity will be shifted towards Summerslam. WWE planned the ADR's championship match at Summerslam for a long time, and I think they will still stick with it.
Guessing it just means a guaranteed title shot at the next PPV. Don't know why he would still be in the MiTB, but if he has two guaranteed title matches it would fit his whole "destiny".
Definitely see him getting a title shot at SummerSlam. He won the number one contender match but he just has to wait one more PPV until Punk goes. There is no way they will make it a triple threat match.
I don't mind him still being in the MITB match. He can win himself a second title shot to give him a bigger chance of winning the title. Even if he loses the match it won't be that big a deal since there are eight wrestlers involved in the match so it wouldn't hurt him if he lost it.
It would be interesting to see ADR-Cena at SummerSlam, but I'm wondering if Miz won't wind up back on top as the number one heel on Raw come that time if Punk leaves. A re-match of Mania headlining SummerSlam wouldn't be such a bad idea. Give it a stipulation such as a ladder match or something, but not a Cena type of match "I Quit" bullshit
I would prefer if Miz and Cena stay away from each other for a bit longer. They had a long feud to start the year and unless they can come up with a great storyline for them then I don't want to see them again until much later. Del Rio is the next top heel so he does deserve a title shot against Cena at SummerSlam.
Firstly if Del Rio has a shot somewhere down the line, then I don't think he should win MITB [which I never thought he would anyway], and for that matter I don't think he should still be in the match now that he has won that title shot, that makes it a wasted spot.
I would love see him defeat Cena at Summerslam for the title, that would be perfect.
I would like Del Rio to have his title match against Cena and lose, cash in his MiTB and win it there after he does a beatdown of Cena ofcourse. Still makes Cena look super, and gives Del Rio more heat.
