yeah that's what I had heard was gonna likely happen, not shocked

If they somehow win, no major sports league will ever give a company matching rights again bc the NBA is 100% right that just matching the dollar value is not matching the deal in this case...it's literally for international distribution and WBD is trying to keep it on an American cable channel for the same money (I think they may have offered Max streaming but check subscriber counts if you think that's just as fair)

Most of the people I heard speculating they were gonna sue said they were just hoping for a settlement, not expecting to win. I guess the NBA could afford some just shut up about it money but it feels very petty, tho it was easily their biggest property so they're desperate
