I’m not sure I agree Tay is better, but due to the storytelling of the match I began to root for her hard.

I really wanted her to win by the end.

AEW Full Gear measuring at around 145,000 PPV buys [Wrestlenomics]
renderTimingPixel.png

Per Wrestlenomics, AEW Full Gear pay-per-view last Saturday is measuring at about 145,000 buys, we’ve learned.

This is an early estimate that reflects all buys worldwide, traditional and digital, live and late. Traditional cable and satellite distributors take longer to report, so actual sales may vary accordingly.

Late buys, which usually account for about 10% of sales, exceeding or underperforming expectations would also affect final results.

145K buys for a non-WWE PPV is still exceptional.

2nd best for them , and between 45 to 65 more then last years full gear depending on who you trust ( wrestlenomics had it more around 85k where meltzer had it at 100k)

I wasnt expecting it to do anywhere near all out anyways either, that card was insanely hyped and promoted for a multitude of reasons. to have your usually worst drawing ppv now be ur second best I think TK takes that all day

I did my best pull through for that match.

The placement was killer.
the placement was brutal and the ending to the match prior kind of killed it too so ya. thankfully the match was good and the crowd got back into it

Great show from top to bottom.

Kenny and Hangman had me totally invested, and great to see Hangman prevail at the end of it all. Was well worth the wait.

Eddie and Punk have some dope ass chemistry, had quite a mini build-up but really glad it made it on to the card. Thought it was paced perfectly.

Here's some more buys and revenues notes from f4wonline.com:

Last Saturday's AEW Full Gear is trending to become the second most purchased pay-per-view in company history with more than 145,000 buys worldwide and an estimated $4 million in total event revenue.

The numbers were first reported by Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston and discussed on last night's Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer said he believes the number will come in around 150,000. Meltzer said that while cable and satellite numbers have yet to be finalized, streaming numbers were up from March's AEW Revolution which did 145,000 buys and that a cable industry source said the early numbers looked strong.

The $4 million is a combination of PPV revenue and ticket sales and merchandise in Minneapolis.

From Thurston specifically on PPV revenue:

"Sales of 145,000 buys worldwide for Full Gear would mean about $7 million in pay-per-view revenue before AEW’s split with distributors. If the average split to AEW is about 45%, then AEW would take about $3 million in pay-per-view revenue."

In the U.S., Bleacher Report was the exclusive streaming distributor and there were complaints about the availability to buy the replay which necessitated the event being made available for purchase on FITE.tv the next day. Fans had the option to buy through FITE and Bleacher Report for September's All Out.

FITE remained the international distributor while fans were also able to buy through Facebook. However, Thurston said the latter's sales were minor.

September's All Out is the AEW's most purchased PPV at 205,000 buys, buoyed by the return of CM Punk.
