Could even do MJF vs WARDLOW vs Joe vs Swerve vs Hobbs or Takeshita vs ??? and stack the deck as the vultures circle in on MJF with the devil revealing themselves

NGL I dislike this timeline with my whole chest.

Especially because that’s what 2026 when Jay finally gets it? Lmao

I will say Hanger getting his second from Swerve makes sense, though.
This was all in 2024 btw , n not in order. I genuinely think it's gonna be a more hot potato year with super competitive field

no you're hung up as if he said "all Jay fans hate MJF" that was 100% absolutely not what was said or meant so get it out of your mind rn before we go more pages on this lol he said he saw more MJF haters wanting him to lose than Jay fans wanting Jay to win BECAUSE THEY LIKE MJF so they were fine with MJF retaining

Gambit sometimes I think I'm the only one that ever gets what you mean even when I also don't entirely agree lol

well then fans should specify that better, I think that's what an educated fan would say, most don't understand that distinction and just say they hate the worker...we have this conversation with others a lot trying to make people realize it's the booking they hate instead lol
BTW I never thought he said all Jay fans, but I did initially interpret that post he made as more Jay fans were more excited about MJF losing than Jay winning. Which I disagreed with on that front, but I do agree with you and Jeff that is also because Jay and MJF have a strong overlap so probably not a lot of proactive I hope he wins the belt as most were in it for the journey.

It’s probably hard for the average fan to understand that distinction, but I do think MJF discourse probably comes closest because he just has a certain it factor that makes it so you just deny you like him.

I’m not sure I’d want to educate those fans, though, if they confused hating his booking for hating him.

I also don’t think I saw as many of the anti-MJF posts as you two in general, but I’ve been trying to interact less with those types as you guys used to tell me to since they mostly like to be negative to be negative and it drains your soul!

I’m even trying to be less negative than I’d like to be about Switch losing. I actually promised to unreasonably upset if Jay didn’t win the belt a couple weeks back and I’m mostly trying to contain it.

Mostly.

With 8+ ppvs don't really need 6 months reigns for 2 defenses anymore

Well I do
I’d imagine that would be the case.

For me, if Joe wins the belt after Jay did not, my attempts at not be unreasonably upset here would fall apart.

I mean someone is gonna beat MJF and Jay just wasn’t that guy yet. So it seems you’re just gonna be upset no matter what.

Don’t get me wrong, I like 6 month reigns, but with monthly PPV, you don’t need a minimum length.

I’d say two 2-4 month reigns and then a 6+ per year is fine booking. And you can occasionally get away with a one-month back to back.

Look at the women’s title. That’s probably more accurate to how all title will be booked with monthly PPV. No reason to elongate everything.
