All the stuff Chris n I talked about on Tuesday basically + stop lazily dropping angles . Like biggest example is elite storyline. Ppl were hype. Then it didn't really deliver or had enough long term focus. That over time makes ppl not wanna get invested because they are not guaranteed a pay off. Back in early days if u missed stuff u missed lore n character development. Now I think they try to do too much n not focus on the big angles enough. Idk! That's my Thursday thoughts

Maybe urgency is the word I'm looking for. The weeklies need some urgency to them

I can for sure tell you some will try. I can also tell you that aew still will need to figure out a way to get hot again. They might b stuck waiting for wwe to slip up unless they can start stringing together multiple hit angles back to back without dropping stuff. I think cycles and burnouts are normal and cyclical but I also think they need to be more consistent and make dynamite feel more can't miss on a weekly basis.
I don't feel you can fully replicate the hot period of 2021-22, because a significant part of that was just how many amazingly talented people were debuting on a regular basis. That was enabled of course by WWE being dumbasses and firing people in their prime and the middle of storylines, which they don't do anymore. You don't have the "look who we've got NOW" factor in 2024

Either way I do feel a lot of the aew coldness issue have some simple solutions but it will depend if tk wants to implement them. I also def think he wears too many hats and could use some more ficus to key areas n then let other experts manage. I do think they've yet to find a "brilliant" booking mind like Heyman n it's hard to just find these ppl. Tk never worked in the industry so ya his inexperience sometimes shows n the growing pain will take a while. Vince year 5 wwe I'm sure was weird n he had a way bigger head start w his dad being a booker. Tk for better or worse, still learning to book on the fly n we've seen the good n bad now

And I agree Sky, they should not try to recapture they should try to make the hype themselves n not were cooler than wwe. That period has passed n they need to stand on their own content with no comparisons

Oh n don't try to be wwe lol. U can look at wwe for certain aspects they good at like maximizing hype, being more aggressive on marketing on commentary, bunch of stuff wwe does well. But don't try to bevwwe lite. Just be aew with more consistency

As an aside I'd love for tk to maybe acknowledge some of the criticism on attendance n ratings and tell us a few things he'd like to do to improve them. I get he's a promoter but ya some transparency would be chill.
