Tbh unless there's an increase when NXT ends after the first hour I probably wouldn't even say a lot picked that over AEW, still unsure if there's a lot of crossover bc there never seemed to be when they were head to head before. I think it's just more people not watching AEW, yes maybe bc they forgot the night or maybe they just don't watch wrestling on Tuesdays and AEW isn't going to make them change around their schedule at the moment

I'll take some for not reading the headline bc your post makes more sense with it, but the annoying part is being thrown this defense against the "AEW is perfectly fine, nothing is wrong" narrative that I know others say, but literally last night I'm pretty sure more than half the chat was Jeff and I talking about things the company needed to improve bc the attendance being atrocious started it

I wasn't even commenting on any sort of narrative, there wasn't any commentary aside from me going after the Torch's headline

It was mostly steady after the opening quarter where they had a big dip

as a side note, i think it is funny to even care about ratings outside your own country and I include myself in that. a lot of people even in the US watch online and it will continue skewing that way so ultimately as long as the company gets paid it's kind of a meaningless statistic how many ppl with boxes watch the show on avergae

It will indeed be refreshing when statistics that people can manipulate to suit their own needs go out the window

...unless people are going to start comparing Netflix subscribership numbers vs. MAX subscribership numbers and project that on the success of WWE/AEW. Shit I never thought of that. That's going to be so stupid

I can for sure tell you some will try. I can also tell you that aew still will need to figure out a way to get hot again. They might b stuck waiting for wwe to slip up unless they can start stringing together multiple hit angles back to back without dropping stuff. I think cycles and burnouts are normal and cyclical but I also think they need to be more consistent and make dynamite feel more can't miss on a weekly basis.
