So what do you do here with Wardlow and Hobbs? Neither guy should really be losing at the moment. As much as I want to see a big meaty men slapping meat hoss battle, I wish this was happening a couple of months from now instead of this week.

Yeah it’s a massive misstep going this route IMO Wardlow needs heavy rehab after his wet fart of a title reign (due to booking) so him losing would derail that again and Hobbs has been knocking on the door of top star for so long that this would do a ton for him. This is one instance where fuckery would be welcome

it's definitely a predicament. you could do:
well if Hobbs wins, you could do Takeshita program.
problem really is idk what to do with Wardlow after that. heck even if he wins he needs a good feud next.

Is it too convoluted to add Joe to the mix, have him eat a pin from Hobbs and then move Wardlow on to a feud with MJF? I really feel like Hobbs should be winning here on Wednesday, but I hate to see Wardlow lose so quickly after he's won the belt, because it kind of makes him look like a geek. Especially if he doesn't even factor into the decision.

convoluted, no. But having him take two Ls while holding an ROH belt isn't optimal booking either, even if he likely loses it at the next pape or shortly after. still probably want to keep him strong for wheoever he puts over next.

you could just have Hobbs and Wardlow trade it back and forth for a month with Wardlow moving on the main event scene after? Im not sure what they will do because like you correctly said, both guys needs a consistent push atm after some start stop pushes

Ido agree with you that moving Wardlow to MJF is good though, but you run into the same problem: Wardlow is losing that feud

I don’t know if they want Joe in ring that much

Also Wardlow onto MJF works from a story line aspect but he’s gotta get some momentum back first

I think maybe pairing up Wardlow vs Swerve could be interesting

In six months I think that could change if they build Wardog Back right

agreed and I don't think it's the time to tell that story yet either. MJF needs to keep pissing off ppl by beating their faves. he gonna complete that list

I could see a time limit draw between Hobbs and Wardlow. Wouldn't be against Joe costing Wardlow the title as revenge for what happened at the PPV, being so angry at losing to his own submission. Also this match confirmed for the show apparently:

Feel like we have seen it before. Would have preferred Jeff Jarrett vs OC
