Also I think he genuinely wants to be in WWE now. The first time it was the only show in town, and he was younger and probably more immature and destructive. I think he acted how he acted in AEW because at some point he realized he wanted out and to go back to WWE
he wants the structure and vince being gone is a big motivator and removes a lot of negative feelings he might have had, too. i do agree he wanted to be in wwe. I dont think he has the temperament to be a leader in a younger company . he needs isolation and clear consequences and guidelines. and at the end of the day all of those aspects of the saga are valid, i think both companies offer different things and different personalities will succeed one plance and maybe not the otherL3G4CY15 said:

Exactly. It’s his last shot at doing this and his ego won’t allow him to consider TNA for instance. WWE is mainstream he can wrestle and they’re paying him the big bucks and on top of that I think more importantly than the money for Phil is they’re feeding him creatively. He’s not gonna get this treatment again if he leaves. Like, I’m not gonna say I didn’t like punk’s AEW run so don’t take it that way but like punk is like all over WWE not just a television the pay-per-view but also he’s constantly on the social media channels doing weird things like being trapped in the offices and stuff, he’s hosting the kick offs. And he’s been injured for like the last four months and he’s still consistently a storyline presence. When Punk’s happy he tends to regulate himself better. Even in AEW there wasn’t an issue with him until he got disgruntled with the locker room. I also think his time off for the injury festering his poor mood. I get why Tony didn’t keep him on tv but part of me wonders if he wasn’t sitting at him thinking about his next media scrum and what he’d say if things would be different, but I do things tend to happen for a reason and yeah, Punk ain’t stupid. He’s gonna make sure he don’t act a fool.
