Wednesday night's New Year's Smash episode of AEW Dynamite
averaged 876,000 viewers on TBS, down 8.5 percent from last week. It's the lowest audience total for the show since December 7.
In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite finished fifth on the cable charts with a 0.28 rating, down 6.7 percent from last week. The top four spots all went to ESPN with coverage of college football bowl games and the SportsCenter that followed the late game.
This matches Dynamite's second-lowest 18-49 rating since October.
Dynamite's ratings were down from last week in all demo categories. The biggest drop came with males 12-34, which were down 41.4 percent. The 0.17 rating in that age group matches Dynamite's lowest since July.
As compared to the same week in 2021, Dynamite was down 10.2 percent in overall viewers and down 24.3 percent in 18-49.
