With all the issues they had with the championship the easy answer was fuck it here's Wardlow winning the tournament fucking everyone up continuing to look like a monster. He holds it until MJF comes back and MJF cheats to win.

It went downhill for me when he said he didn't want to be considered for an Interim title match. Then he was excluded from the Grand Slam tournament of champions despite being a literal champion. It was literally a perfect time to give Wardlow a chance.

I can see that but that's a pretty specific vision and for a company already in some disarray I think the safe option at that time was probably the best option and it's worked out well for everyone

I should say I agree that the Joe feud is not a bad thing right now, I'm more thinking they dropped the ball a while ago and now they're trying to heat him back up (worry that Joe is moving on to Darby now though)
