Swerve is a beast. He might be my AEW ace. He challenges everyone. I always liked Hanger, but you can tell he reinvigorated his passion.

I think he's the most complete wrestler they have in that age group along with hangman. And I think he's a better overall performer than mjf right now. I see like...no real holes in his game, he's not repetive, athletic, good looking, smooth and natural on mic, believable character, intimidating and can do both alignment without fundamentally changing his gimmick.

Once hurt syndicate shows up ull see the turn start. The hood stuff starts with the c2 n swerve. Ull see him becoming more n mote obnoxious and full himself. Talks shit to swerve eventually. Then the big moment is the ppv semis of c2. That's where the story picks up n its been incredible since. But even before, as a face, ull see he's slowly laying in the groundwork

He's having another classic feud with riccochet of all ppl. Ur gonna be blown away by that feud. Will completely change your perception of Rico

Yeah, this is what I meant when I said that it starts out a little rough with Ricochet, but it gets better. this is when it gets better

Being able to play both sides without fundamentally altering your characters is so key too. That’s what all the greats do. He’s so over too that I really think that not only can be their Ace but I really do think he can be their top guy for the foreseeable future, which is why I was really hoping the semi heel turn leading into all in wouldn’t hurt his ride so I’m gonna watch moving forward but by him and Nana are an amazing babyface pairing they just need to continue to build up strong heels for him to make money with.

The feud is ok but it's better now in hindsight. I thought the matches were good too with a mix of callbacks n modernizing their new offense. I wasn't super in the feud at the time but where we are now. It makes total sense why they did thst feud first to give a reason why Rico started acting up and feeling underappreciated by the fans, roster, etc. But then as all good heels do I,mixed w a healthy dose of delusion and misplaced blame.

Honestly while some occasions stuff gets dropped w out payoffs, recently a lot of the feuds bleed into the next few feuds and its a effort I've come to appreciate as of late. A lot less matches feel "inconsequential " . But I'm going on a tangent.
