I honestly think it’s kind of cultish on both sides because quite often people can’t just think that two things can be true at once. You can think that that footage does not make Punk look good at all and I don’t, but also think that AEW shouldn’t have aired it especially six months later, because it doesn’t do anything except for keep your company wrapped up in a situation with a guy that’s no longer working there.
I mean, HoHo watches AEW every week. He’s certainly not biased against AEW when he makes that assessment.
And yes, I just wanna move on. I wanna watch punk doing some awesome things with Drew McIntyre on raw and I wanna watch the AEW that was recapturing the feeling two weeks ago with awesome stuff with Ospreay and Okada and Mercedes and hopefully Swerve winning the belt.
I agree anyone comparing this episode to WCW 2000, even though I personally enjoy certain parts of that year, are intentionally being facetious. I get the footage thing feeling like a Russo idea, but the show itself can’t be worse than some early dark days.
Anyways, the FTR/Bucks thing should have plenty to work with now and Perry can use this for some good heat in Chicago. If Perry doesn’t kill that and show up in Dynasty, I’ll be very cross with Mr. Khan on Sunday!
