I don't know Davey. I think it's just a difference of opinions on this one. You obviously don't see the value in Mox. I personally believe he's great. You say there aren't any stories to be told with him as champion, I have to question that. Is every great story in wrestling obvious before it happens? There are plenty of viable heels that can challenge Moxley after this. MJF, PAC, Lance Archer, Shawn Spears, Chris Jericho again, or even the surprise entrant in the Casino Ladder Match. He could defend the belt against a face. They main evented Full Gear with Moxley vs. Omega in a face vs. face match and it worked great. Just because there aren't ready made feuds there doesn't mean there isn't greatness ready to happen. Just my point of view on that, but of course it you flat out think Mox isn't the guy, fair enough.

I'm surprised no one is theorizing on who the surprise entrant into the Casino Ladder match will be. Surely it'll be someone significant, and likely a new signing. I mean, let's hope it isn't Peter Avalon or Sonny Kiss. :lol

My prediction is Jeff Cobb. And out of all the viable options, he's the one I'd be most interested in. Cobb is a great wrestler, has never been in WWE's system, and so he won't have any of that stigma, and if he wins the ladder match, that puts him in line to challenge Mox. That's a match that has history and would certainly rouse the interest of a lot of wrestling fans.

Another person who has been speculated that I would be all for is Brian Cage.

If it's one of those guys, I'll be very happy.

Marty Scurll would be a huge shocker. I don't even know if that would be possible given his obligations to ROH. But maybe.

Flip would be cool. I don't think he'd be a main eventer in AEW but he'd be a great boost for the midcard and could probably climb his way up.

Oh, it's definitly a difference of opinion, I'm not a fan of Moxley because I've never been entertained by him in an actual match. The build up to the Jericho one was fine but, especially in a company like this where the majority of the wrestlers can put on ridiculous matches, I just don't see him as anything other than a big name... And one that AEW currently isn't getting the value out of at that...

I'd like to be proven wrong on the idea that there's no where for him to go storyline wise (wouldn't be the first time I have been either) but I just can't see it....

So - that said, the shows on shortly, and hopefully my Mox hating hasn't put a downer on it!

For those interested, there's been movement on where the forum thinks the TNT and womens titles are going - I'll be checking out shortly, have a good night guys, hope the show lives up to the talent on it.

Oh, and Brian Cage - didn't they sign him a while back and he got injured? I could totally buy him winning the ladder match!:

To my knowledge, Cage hasn't signed to AEW. His contract ended with Impact and he suffered a bicep injury that he had to get surgery on, so he had to wait until he was recovered to decide where he'd sign. I'm not sure it's been long enough for him to recover from that surgery but he is a freak of nature so I wouldn't doubt he's ready to go.
