Just to your last point, I had almost forgotten it was a no crowd show with a few exceptions. It was well executed.

I think the difference between AEW and WWE (because lets be honest, that's the comparison) is that AEW is being run by a bunch of wrestling fans that aren't trying to capture an audience, they're just trying do what they would enjoy watching and it really shows.

Tbf I think this may be when Cody gets his win back. MJF to challenge for it and Cody retains.

Easy story to build to too:

MJF beat Cody already, the impetus is on Cody to show MJF doesn't have his number.

I think MJF takes it from him as well. Better story too and saves the first MJF loss for someone who isn't Cody. Plus gives Cody something to chase as a babyface

TBF Cody doesn't need a long reign.

He can beat MJF here and then have the rubber match because MJF can look to bruise Cody's ego by saying he still has a win over him. Cody then can put his title up one more time and lose to MJF.

I don't think they'll do that. Right now Cody/MJF doesn't need to happen on tv and I don't see them waiting 2 PPV's for that payoff.

I am so strongly of the belief that Cody is modeling his AEW run after his dads..... I'm fully expecting a feud with a Horsemen group at some point in the near future.

I honestly can't say I'd be shocked if this came to pass. Cody loves his father's legacy and I can see many homages in the future.

I'm not sure about a Horseman group with Ric sticking with the E, however. Possibly IC, or Elite.

Flair would be THE guy for the Horsemen, but they already have Arn and Tully...

Don't know who owns the Horseman name but if you've got a boatload of money, freedom to do what you want, a respect for the history of the business and one of THE names in wrestling that was way over due to a particular storyline....
