Surprising to hear that but I respect it.

Good PPV overall.

Glad Cage debuted and won. Thought Mox/Lee was good for what it was and Archer/Cody was good outside of the wrong winner.

Stadium Stampede was what it was - thought Hangman and Sammy were the stars of the show.

I picked Archer to win because I didn’t think Cody would really put himself over more. I thought this would be a big push for Archer. I don’t even like Archer, but, Cody winning is fucking trash.

Idk. He lost his last 2 PPV matches. I think he's been pretty fair with booking himself.

Wouldn't have hurt to put over Archer either though.

Cody can’t even compete for the world title in AEW and he lost his last major feud with MJF. He needed to win at some point. Man can’t be a complete martyr yet.

I think Archer should have won but yeah Cody has to win at some point otherwise he becomes a jobber. The finish was pretty shit though. What the fuck was Jake doing talking to the referee to allow Arn to cheat?

I just think it’s stupid they bring in Archer, try to make him look like such a strong, intimidating, tough guy to beat, and then scrawny little Cody makes him look like a bitch.

I thought MJF and Jungle Boy was really good as well, that and stadium stampede were the highlights for me. After an emotionally draining week for wrestling fans, this show was much needed fun.

Also, there’s a Takeover coming up so shouldn’t that be next in the prediction thing, not Backlash?

Davey said in the prediction thread whatever WWE, NXT or NJPW show is next. I believe it would be TakeOver

NJPW will be a hard one for me. :mark: but when that comes I welcome a challenge. NXT could be a bit since I've failed to keep up with it. :side:

Just finished watching the show... and two things stand out to me:

1. The Stadium Stampede match was awesome - like an actual, laugh out loud awesome piece of work... the pinacle of the pre-recorded matches so far and I don't see how it can be topped - rolling northen lights for the length of the field, V1 Matt Hardy surfacing from Broken Matt being drowned, complete with Matt facts, and Jericho throwing a flag on the two count (complete with it being reviewed in the booth) being the first things that spring to mind to show how awesome this was...

2. JR is so far past his prime that he no longer knows how to sell to the audience, what is he doing? He's giving the analytical podcast version of JR on the TV - to the point that, with no excitement at all, he complete no sold Brian Cage and concentrated on Taz bringing him out - wtf was that?

Great show, loved it and they've given me reason to be interested in a Jon Moxley match at Fyter Fest. I think this is the best show of the "no crowd" era yet.

Just to your last point, I had almost forgotten it was a no crowd show with a few exceptions. It was well executed.

I'm steady getting used to no crowds even during weaker shows, but I literally don't notice at all during some of the more recent ones that have been pretty good at this point. At least unless someone points it out and then I'm like "oh yeah, 'rona"
