I think the problem is we can as fans assess more reliable dirts from those that aren’t, but Punk just sees lies about him spreading from those dirts to social media.

Oh this I don't doubt, he should just make blanket statements against them and I think we'd all agree. The issue is when he calls out specific ones and I feel he's just got bad info from people I think he believes are his friends but want to see him start shit. And when he calls out roster members for leaking but that's a separate issue and much worse, him calling out Alvarez is obviously not a major issue

I honestly think even if we give Hangman the benefit of doubt and he was just trying to do a work promo and didn’t think anything of it, I think that changed everything for Punk. Cause I can’t remember any negative reactions from him whatsoever before double or nothing but I think once hangman sort of gave credence to the rumors, and then punk was hurt, and he was sitting at home, he let it fester.

That I also agree with and I said forever ago that even if I thought the Hangman line was innocent myself, it's on him and AEW and maybe even Punk a little too bc you should just fucking run your promo content by each other lol if Punk and Hangman had went over it more backstage or were forced to by management then we'd see nothing lol you don't have to script shit but when you're supposed to take shots at each other...run those shots by them backstage first. You don't want to do the Vince shit where he'd pit people against each other legitimate for feud heat
