I generally don’t care if everybody boos punk. Like I was ribbing him with that gif. I thought that gif was clearly a joke.

I think it's easy to read that the promo was intentionally divisive. He'll be booed many places, but treated like a God I'm Chicago and prolly some other locations. It will also definitely depend on who he's feuding with.

That’s what I’m trying to say. I think the point is to get cheers from his fans and boos from his haters.

I think AEW legitimately trying for the classic efed tweener alignment

Exactly. Like in my personal opinion they don’t currently want straight boos. I don’t think the objective is to get his fans to turn on him.

I also love Omega. That’s also what I was trying to get across with that Punk/Omega teamup again Bucks. A joke because I love me some Omega.

Lastly, maybe I can get better at sometimes communicating when I’m trying to get across, but I think me and EC who don’t too often agree on things were able to articulate that I was just trying to say I think that intention of that promo was just to elicit mixed reactions. Just not a full-blown heel if I make sense. It’s OK if we disagree on this. It’s still possible they’re going to fully turn him a bit later and have him turn on FTR or even turn FTR heels.

I wouldn’t mind that, either.
