It sucks being a fan of both Punk and The Elite like I am. When the inevitable does happen and he does have a feud with them I’ll be torn, but I know I’ll just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I mean it kinda kinda weird over me postulating that just because you insult a baby face doesn’t automatically make you heel. I was listening to your pov, but you seemingly wholesale reject my hypothesis even though he still wrestled with baby faces and against the heels that same night. Because in your words he wouldn’t have start fuck the elite chants. Which he didn’t even start anyway.

My only point was that he definitely heeled it up a bit, but other babyfaces in history still remain babyfaces, while acting in similar heelish manners. So it was possible that they’re not gonna fully turn him. And I’m not even saying they’re not going to turn him. I’m just saying it wasn’t that full blown turn yet. Unless FTR turned too and it was a heel on heel.

I’m pretty sure Punk was a dickish face in WWE as well. So he’ got a history of being the not clean cut baby face. Slightly different now, since here he probably definitely is going heel, and will be booed a lot more than he was in WWE, but he does have some history like this.

I think it's easy to read that the promo was intentionally divisive. He'll be booed many places, but treated like a God I'm Chicago and prolly some other locations. It will also definitely depend on who he's feuding with.
