Jeff and I get into a tiff over the worked promo punk did on elite that’s not meant to be legit. This stupid drama needs to end and hopefully the more this becomes a work, the more both bases can just enjoy both acts or just not focus on hating the other side.

And we have to remember that not everyone is attached to the war. I’ve let it go, but sometimes I forget if others have and I know Jeff for example has moved on and is enjoying Punk back so we need to say fuck this tribal nonsense. It’s not fair to keep it going.

I do find it funny when I hear podcast people talk about how Punk is a guy in AEW to bring in casual fans bc of his name value when the narrative in WWE was he was just an indie guy who ran those same fans off. And really those aren't even incompatible opinions due to the differences of the companies so I wouldn't even call it hypocritical. Just funny how nostalgia always ends up drawing even when it may not have in its prime

and even them, I was more debating the meaning behind the promo and alignment, I am clearly not actually mad at punk for the promo as its clearly just working and people having fun. he's just going to be heelish to a portion of the fanbase, just like the Elite trolled Punk in chicago last time (and got cheered).

I don’t know if I did anything for the numbers but I do know a lot of people got back into WWE pacifically because of the summer of punk and I was one of them. 2011-2015 was one of the best periods of WWE.
