Card looks more like a TV special. Can safely say only matches I am super into is the 8 man tag and Mox vs Omega. Takeshita vs Omega will bang but that build has kind of petered off imo

Glad it’s not just me. I’m gonna have a good time being in Chicago live, regardless, for sure, but does make me think this is what Battle of the Belts should have been rather than a PPV.

Probably the draw of this card for me is seeing Jay White and his BCG live against a weird teamup of Bucks and FTR.

Just weird AEW has essentially three world titles in the AEW, real and ROH and they didn’t book any on this show. I understand the Punk situation and don’t get me wrong that frustrates me too not seeing him in Chicago when I flew out there, but then book the ROH title to make up for it. Chicago loves Kingston.

Should've ran Claudio vs. Kingston for the ROH Title instead of another pointless tag match. Should've done FTR vs. Bucks vs. White/Juice triple threat for the titles instead of a pointless 8 man. Those two adjustments alone would've made the card more interesting.

This. Especially once you had suspensions to deal with. You need to pivot to make up for it.

I’m fine with the 8-man, but I agree an actual tag team title defense would have been nice, too.

Seems like a no, but AEW should publicly announce on Collision if he’ll be there or not. Shouldn’t leave it unaddressed.

Pairing the PPV in the future would make ordering it home better for sure.

I do think if he plans to do this next year he needs to book an 8-hour show in his head and then more evenly split the marquee matches between them.

I'd have prob done a different match as much as like the 4 v 4 though. I feel u could have done a big match like Hangman vs Jay or even Cole vs Jey but I get there's some rest needed too. I don't think Cole n mjf were supposed to even be on this ppv but they gotta cover for punk now
