He setup himself up when he recognized his own bias and tried to distance himself from it, preemptively.
And again, critique isn't mockingly saying WWE isn't laughing at AEW. WWE legitimately doesn't have to fear AEW, but they don't take them lightly, either. We know this to be true. WWE has made several moves to combat the rising popularity of AEW including changing contract structures and moving NXT to USA in a 2-hour block ahead of AEW's debut on TNT. He just sounds deluded with his ramblings.
