It was literally just a split second thing where I saw the tweet and the picture and the first thought was that they got fired. Even though it doesn't make sense that they would have. I guess it's just my default reaction to seeing such a tweet is thinking someone is being fired.

He absolutely said the line. One version is that it was very clear when he said it he was being comedic, that he was looking at Will Ospreay when he said it, then said that he was just messing with Ospreay. Many laughed about it. Others took it as serious and there were those upset about it.
Several told us it was something totally misinterpreted and taken out of context but others didn’t like it.

Apparently Punk and Steele have changed their story again to that they didn't kick down the door but we felt threatened so attacked without asking questions.

Dave gave an update in the Observer today and said the story from every side so far is that CM Punk sucker punched Matt Jackson to start the brawl. CM Punk's excuse was they thought the Young Bucks came to fight

Imagine sucker punching a fucking Young Buck cause you were scared of a fight with them.

It's a dumb joke to make as an EVP but wouldn't shock me if someone who had beef with the EVP's who is close to Cornette leaked it out of context. Kenny though in management should be smarter than making that joke
