I’d pop for Punk going part time and doing a storyline where there keeps being an interim champ crowned, punk comes back and beats them to unify but gets injured in the match, causing an interim champion to be crowned

punk goes 10-0 but the storyline drags over 7 years and then after 2,560 day reign he beats Mox for the 9th time, gets injured and is like ah fuck it, I retire. And vacates the title

This honestly works out in both Tony and Punk’s favor. Man is hurt and would be off tv anyway. Suspend him as punishment, crown an interim champion, when Punk is healthy, keep him off tv just a little longer for the suspension, and then book towards the title unification.

The timing is impeccable because you can crown MJF at Asher for Grand Slam since it’s right around the corner.

Then let MJF unify the belts when Punk is ready at Full Gear or Revolution or a tv special if need be. But this would draw massive PPV numbers if done the right way.
