ACW Monthly Awards

Here are my personal thoughts on the matter.

Prestigious to who? To me it looks pompous. While we have people that can run it do we really have enough people to require it.

Should we not automatically assume champs are the rpers of the month? or have they just been very lucky in the right place right time?

We have three members of staff one acts as a figure head (John) One posts things for eveyone to see (bdc now King) and as far as the people no pete just writes - this is not the case how would anyone outside of staff know who is doing what in staff?


Everyone likes to know they're doing a good job but does anyone else want to know that they aren't? We already do that once with titles. I know its a blunt way to put it but that's how I percieve it.

I'm voting yes. It's just a fun thing for people to compete for. They're not going to do any harm so might as well.
And on the staff award, I think Andy meant Superstar of the Month when he said SOTM, and I just misinterpreted him thinking he meant staff.
So, the awards would be:
Roleplay of the Month (The best one 'roleplay' of the month)
Roleplayer of the Month (The best roleplayer of the month)
Superstar of the Month (The best superstar of the month. Only reason to have this and roleplayerOTM would be that some people have two characters. I'd probably drop this one if it was my call just because it's a bit repetitive.)

And if these happen, they'd definitely stay in one topic to keep things organized. Not sure how voting would work though.

The only time there would ever be that amount of awards, would be during the feds OTY awards, which will probably get a new name in the future. I would happy to do those and organize them as I have in the past few years, but those are all within a single topic.

Roleplayer of the Month should not automatically be assumed to be one of our champions. Just because they have kept the title or got another, doesn't necessarily mean their work and work ethic have been the best.

Superstar of the Month would generally be based on character, as opposed to the actual roleplayer, so King kind of hit the nail on the head with that one.

ROTM is easy enough.

So, I voted yes.

Can you explain what OTY is or is it just yearly awards? I think it's if it's a concept that you've used before us original ACW members should know about it if you do bring it in.

I think OTY should be blown up huge... like even have speeches and stuff for the people that win each award. That'd be pretty fun.

OTY award culminates the whole year. Basically how we did it in PWA was had Face of the Year, Heel or the year. Match of the Year, Superstar of the year, roleplayer of the year, roleplay of the year, feud of the year. We had a few more, and it was actually quite fun. We did have a whole award show for it. It was pretty awesome.

Damn right we did. I have access to both the voting topic and the actual show from PWA, at least for year 1. I wasn't able to finish the show the second time around, considering the fact that we were shut down.

Yeah at the other fed I'm at we have the end of the year awards. Always nice to be nominated. Even awesomer to win it.
