Re: ACW Adrenaline 25/08/12: Abram Vance & John McHenry v RevoluSyn (w/A. Hamilton Cr

The scene opens up at a Tea-Shop outside of Manhattan, New York, where we see Syn, dressed in his usual get-up, holding a large mug of tea in his hands. Syn moved his hood slightly to where his mouth was visible, before closing his eyes and taking a sip. He sighed in content as he set the cup down for a moment.

Syn: Ah, the simple things in life...

Syn kept his eyes closed as he brougth the cup back to his lips and continued to drink. As he was drinking, he heard the chair in front of him pull out, signaling that his "Guest" had arrived. Syn, his eyes, still closed, stopped sipping and spoke.

Syn: Ah, I was beginning to wonder if you were going to show up, little brother.

Syn opened his eyes and gave Kai a coy smile, causing the younger man to frown slightly as he eyed the cup in front of him with disdain.

Kai: It's rare that I find you to be in a relaxing setting, so forgive me for assuring myself that you haven't gone completely insane......well, more insane than usual, I suppose.

Kai lifted up the tea cup and took a small sip, before he glared down at the cup.

Kai: (Disgusted) These fools, passing off this bland , subpar knockoff as Jasmine Tea. Pathetic.

Syn chuckled lightly as Kai grumbled while he gingerly sipped his tea.

Syn: I apologize for the tea not being to your liking, Kai.

Kai sneered slightly, before he placed the tea cup on the table.

Kai: What is it you wished to speak of? Surely it isn't brotherly bonding, is it not?

Syn rolled his eyes playfully at the barb, before answering.

Syn: I wanted to hear your opinion of my supposed......."Partnership" with Alexander Cray and Zack Bronko.

Kai rose an eyebrow at Syn's request, before he leaned back slightly as he continued to Sip his tea.

Kai: To be honest, I didn't think you were the type to attempt to be in an alliance with anyone. You like to be in control of the situation, and having a partner complicates that to a signifigant degree. So, I do have to wonder what your motives are for doing something like this.

Syn shrugged slightly.

Syn: It is a partnership of convience, I suppose. I don't fully trust either, and I'm not fool enough to believe that they trust me. Al three of us are linked through one common, simple little goal: To rid ACW of that arrogant little fool, John McHenry. While I am sure I could handle it alone, why should I have all the funof beating the little ponce all to myself, hmm?

Kai nods in silent agreement, before he realizes that he had something to tell Syn.

Kai: Before I forget, the matchcard for the next event has been sent. It seems you will team with Bronko once again against John McHenry and Abram Vance.

Syn blinked, before he smirked slightly at that.

Syn: Hmph, so it seems he's a glutton for defeat. Either that, or he has really deluded himself into thinking that he can defeat myself and Bronko. I'll commend him for his determination, but it won't matter. This bout will end as every other that has featured McHenry as my adversary: With him wallowing in the agony of defeat.

Syn pauses, then sips his tea as he looks at Kai.

Syn: But enough about business, tell me: How are you doing, My Dear Brother.

Kai smirks as he begin to tell Syn of his recent adventures as the two brothers sit together, bonding over cups of tea as the scene draws to a close.

All I can tell you is this kid can take a bump.

I had given this little punk my best and he kept getting up. When this little rookie, Mark O’Malley, walked in off the streets and asked me to train him, I thought he wouldn’t last a week. But here we were in week four of his training and he just keeps on asking for more. Reminds me of me when I started. I had spent a few years on the streets. I had hooked up with some rough little rat calling himself DJ BRATT. Part of the package deal with him was an out of place pretty boy named Max Knight. I thought at first glance he wouldn’t last on the streets. But, much like O’Malley, he just seemed to keep coming back for more.

“The Good Ole Daysâ€￾, I muttered under my breath.

O’Malley looked up, sweat pouring off his forehead, “What was that Mr…I mean, Zack?â€￾

“Oh, nothing. I think you’ve had enough for one day. Hit the showers.â€￾ I responded, knowing it was me that was finished.

O’Malley looked disappointed, “Nah, I can go a few more rounds.â€￾

SHEESH, I thought.

“No way. I got things to do.â€￾ I grabbed a towel and began to sop up the sweat.

I wasn’t watching him, but as I heard him pass, I could feel him hesitate.

“What is it, O’Malley?â€￾ I asked.

“How long do you think it will be before I’m ready to try out for ACW?â€￾

I smile, “Well, a few more weeks maybe…â€￾

Then, I thought of something, “But I gotta hash out some things first. I’ll let you know.â€￾

I can feel his disappointment, “Oh, ok, Zack. I’ll wait for your word.â€￾

As he left, I wondered myself how long it would be till it was safe to bring him in. The fact that the boss is out to get me would make his career at ACW nearly impossible. No doubt McHenry would take it out on the kid and I couldn’t have that. No, I had to take care of McHenry before O’Malley graced the roster of the company.

“Take care of McHenry…â€￾ I muttered again.

How the hell was I supposed to do that? He owned the company and apparently had Snow and Vance backing him up. Stooges. Who knew who else he would pull out. I mean, this Chelios guy went from being a clown to some psycho and, now, the former owner and bombshell, Phoenix, had returned. He had all the cards and he could pull a lot of strings and have the whole damned roster against me. At least those clowns the LWO were busy with Jack Ripper. He didn’t stand a chance really. That clown never plays fair and pulling his dad out like he did is just his kind of sick game.

“Max did it first and did it best..â€￾ I laughed.

This brought me back to Max Knight who had done the same exact thing with the same exact dad, Jaxxon Ripper, but against the ‘other Ripper brother’, Max. As much of a sick move as it was, I kinda admired it when Max did it. There was art to it. He played his opponent like a damned violin. Why did this all make me think of one Alexander Hamilton Cray?

“Where’s the kid?â€￾ A voice jolted me from my thoughts.

I look around to see my wonderful father, William Bronko, with that dime store smile of his.

“He’s hit the showers. If you hurry, you can ruin his life too.â€￾

Big Bill Bronko laughs, “OH! I’m hurt! I thought we were through all of this?

I smile, “Yeah, just gotta keep it real every once in a while. Where’s Cray? You and him have been joined at the hip lately….Still can’t believe I let you talk me into all of this.â€￾

William Bronko sits down on the bench next to me,“Eh, he’s off signing some basketball star. Smith, I think. Rookie with the Knicks. Says he’s the next big thing.â€￾

I’m not surprised, “Yeah, that man could make shit stop stinking with that gift of gab of his.â€￾

Dad belly laughs, “HA! Yeah, probably. But he’s good for the ACW. HE’s gonna….bring the REVOLU…SYN! HA!â€￾

I roll my eyes, “Oh, gawd, did you come up with that?â€￾

William Bronko continues to laugh, “Nah. That’s all Crays doing. He has a knack for that kinda thing.â€￾

“Yeah, he’s gotta knack, alright...â€￾ I blurt as I head for my locker.

“Whoa! Sounds a bit like sarcasm there son!â€￾ William questions.

I start plowin’ though my locker looking for my soap, “I’m sorry. I’m just not up to speed on the manager thing. I’m used to going out there and doing my own thing. And, now, I not only have a manager, but I have a tag partner?? This is getting way too complicated way too fast.â€￾

Daddy Bronko tries to reassure me, I hate that, “Hey, he’s only trying to do what’s right for you and SYN! If you don’t succeed, he doesn’t succeed. Believe me, he wants McHenry to go down worst than we do.â€￾

“And why is that, huh? What has he got against McHenry besides the cash?â€￾ I ask.

William tries to answer, “Eh, as far as I can tell, the cash is enough of a reason to a guy like Cray. Hey, I saw the way that wildcat was looking at you in the hall the other day! That was one hot rocket, son!â€￾

“Wildcat? Aw, hell no! That was Jacqui Monroe. Just an old associate.â€￾ I try to be convincing.

“Well, all I’m sayin’ is if I had hot property like that eyeballin’ me like a New York steak, I’d find a way of slappin’ a saddle on it and takin’ a ride or two.â€￾

I stop, turn and stare at him, not believing he just said that, “Well, be my guest, DAD. But, if you haven’t noticed, I’m involved with a wildcat of my own. And perfectly happy, thank you.â€￾

Before he can continue or make excuses, I head off to the showers; leaving him standing there. As the hot water pours over my sore shoulder, I close my eyes and relax. Haven’t done that in a long time. Gonna need to go do something fun. Get away from this insanity. The heat soothes my aches and numbs the present. I lose myself in the steam.

“Zack…â€￾

I hear it, but I ignore it.

“Zack…â€￾

As I open my eyes, I find myself engulfed in the swirling steam; the heat still pouring over me.

“Zack, look at me…â€￾ came the female voice again.

I look around, “Nikki? Baby?â€￾

Then, through the steam a figure appears. It’s female, but it’s not Nikki. For there, in all her pristine glory, was one Jacqui Monroe like I’d never seen her before.

That woke me up, as I jumped with a start like I’d been punched, “WHOA!â€￾

I looked around and I was alone.

“Great.â€￾ I muttered and washed off the sweat, “Thanks, Dad. Thanks a lot.â€￾
