Alberto Del Rio introduced his new manager, Maryse. The two of them then went on a verbal attack on the United States. Del Rio has stated he used to dream to move to America, but now he dreams to destroy it. These words did not please "The All-American" Lex Luger who challenged Del Rio to a match. Eric Bischoff has now announced the match will take place at Embellishment! and will be a qualifier for the AWESOME World Championship Tournament.

Batista came out and declared himself the greatest wrestler of all time. Rob Van Dam came out to remind him that he is full of crap and challenged him to a match at Embellishment! but before he could finish Eric Bischoff came out to announce that there will be a match, a handicap match! The match would pit RVD against Batista and........................................HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN! Hogan then appeared out of nowhere and attacked RVD, with Batista joining him in the lopsided assault. However before any serious damage could be done, Roman Reigns made the save and demanded Bischoff make the match a tag team match. Bischoff relented, but announced that he would be the special guest referee!

Thoughts on this card...


- Gauntlet match has a pretty nice variety of teams. One can only hope that the Nasties and the Pitbulls hook up for one of the falls just for the over/under on how much action would take place in the ring. Hoping to see Demo's and Steiners in the finals since it makes the most sense from a fantasy booking perspective, but they can just as easily meet in a standard tag at the next show as well.
- On paper, the International Championship match does not seem like something I'd want to watch. Now, if Sandman and Johnson take each other out almost immediately it gets a lot more intriguing. I could handle Honky trying to run and hide from Tatanka before getting the hell chopped out of him.
- Like the idea behind the two Bad News Boys working together, but if history holds true Barrett will be by himself in the ring before the end of the match. Also, am I the only one that would love to see them in a sitcom segment where they run a Bed and Breakfast? :
- Lesnar/Show has always been a dynamic that I enjoy since I'm a big fan of big guys beating the hell out of each other. The steel cage just makes it even more intriguing.
- Del Rio vs. Luger could work well even though I've never been a fan of Lex as a face. On the bright side, Del Rio's heel offense will match up nicely with Luger's babyface comeback stuff, so this one looks like a winner to me.
- Heidenreich/Orndorff would probably be my bathroom break tbh. I feel like they should be going for the midcard title instead of the big one, but that's just my personal feelings on both guys.
- Now on to the reverse, DDP should definitely be in the mix for the big belt and I actually would have put him up against Orndorff and put Heidenreich in this match instead.
- There's enough star power on the heel side to make the main interesting, but I don't really like the pairing of Reigns and Van Dam.

do we have any idea what the order of the teams is gonna be so we know who has the biggest task at hand... I'm not feeling the Konnan/Lito team at all... but I hate Konnan and love Carlito so it's expected...Demo v Steiners in their prime is a money making feud though for sure

the work rate in this match is pretty friggin brutal not sure I would want any of these guys in a spotlight but Johnson in his prime was a beast so he is the lesser of the evils


The Bad News Boys vs. Christian and Test
yeah I love the BNBs but Brown is a dick and never could be counted on as a partner for anyone...also Test and Christian were so much better as heels so while I love the team I would prefer them to feud with the Steiners or even face Demolition

Thoughts:

Tag Team Gauntlet Match - I think this would be fun to watch especially with contrasting styles of each team, and this is a great use of all the teams you have. I'd see either the Steiners, Pitbulls, or Eliminators taking it.

Fatal Four Way Match - Another interesting contrast of styles. I definitely see Sandman and Ahmed taking each other out leaving Tatanka to deal with Honky Tonk Man.

Tag Team Match - I like the idea of Barrett and Bad New Brown teaming up, and I like the idea of Brown not sure if Barrett should be trusted. Team of Christian and Test is interesting as well, and I could see this being a decent match overall with Barrett possibly turning on Bad News Brown.

World Championship Match - If it's anything like their past encounters, such as the match on Smackdown many years ago when the ring broke, then this definitely won't disappoint. Two big monsters beating the tar out of each other, what more could you ask for?

Del Rio vs Luger - I like how Del Rio is paired with Maryse, kind of funny (to me at least) because Maryse is married to The Miz and Del Rio was known for being very vocal about his dislike for Miz. I digress though, should be an interesting match and even though I've never really been a fan of either guy I think I'd be cheering for Luger in this one.

Heidenreich/Orndorff - This is another interesting one with two big guys beating the heck out of each other. I personally see Orndorff taking the match.

Fatal Four Way Match - This would be a fun match to watch because all guys were decent at best, with DDP being the stand out star in it. I see it going down to DDP and Terry Taylor after Duggan and IRS take each other out.

Hogan/Batista vs RVD/Reigns - Like Booty and Fuji, I also don't really care for the pairing of RVD and Roman. Big Dave and Hollywood is definitely an interesting pairing though, and I could see them working well together. This one could go either way to be honest, but with Bischoff as the special guest ref who knows what he'll have up his sleeve.

Damn that's a lotta tag teams. Always like a good tag team gauntlet and this one would be pretty huge and very interesting.

Also interesting pairing with Ahmed and Abraham and he'd be the type of guy Ahmed Johnson could use as a mouthpiece that would work well.

I really like the idea of Bad News teaming with Bad News but I think the Bad News for them is I'm not sure either of them like working with other people so the tag team might be end in Bad News. : Christian and Test have experience both as a tag team together and of course with other people, so they win.

He always seems to have The Big Show's number (well except for that one time when he ended Lesnar's undefeated streak...) If this was monster heel Show I might pick him so he could just fuck shit up and destroy everyone, but I guess that'll be Brock's job instead.

Definitely an interesting American vs. Foreigner match and one that was obviously never done before. It's Luger's strength for ADR's technique, speed and overall trickiness. Could be a cool spot in theory with ADR trying to put the cross armbreaker on Lex's metal arm : Going with ADR to pull it off though.

Yeah, gotta be Mr. Wonderful. Don't need Heidenreich ettin even close to a world title.

RVD does some flying shit but ends up getting taken out by Batista. Reigns goes beast mode and tries to take out Hogan and Batista by himself but it's too much. Batista Bomb, boom. Big boot then a big leg drop and it's over. Hogan and Batista as a heel tag team is extremely interesting though, but I'm also not sure of the longevity of RVD and Reigns.

Well this is one of the more random fantasy matches I've ever seen. Johnson with Washington has a lot of potential.

Feel like Barrett & Brown would be a better feud than partners going forward. The Christian & Test team screams of "I have nothing for these guys" though.

4. Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show

Cool match stip for these guys. Wish they were both involved in something different though, just because we all know what these two are like against each other already.

Good pairing of ADR & Maryse. The type of match I never thought I'd be interested in seeing until seeing it on paper. ADR's good enough to make it work, and Lex has simply got to do his thing. Great booking.

Cool main event. Interesting mix of personalities, plus by using the tag format you can save the singles matches between these guys for later on, helping your booking.
