We have a few more weeks until TNA's biggest show of the year, Bound For Glory and in the past month we've had two MMA guys come in. First, Rampage Jackson and most recently, Tito Ortiz. Both have been on TV more than once. Which brings me to the other MMA guy that's in TNA. Yeah, there's a 3rd MMA dude in TNA. His name is King Mo from Bellator. Remember him? No? Let me refresh your memory.

Almost exactly a year ago, it was announced Mo would be coming to TNA. For what, we had no clue. Then on an episode of Impact, he finally showed up......in a crown and a cape and was announced he'd be the special enforcer for the street fight between Bobby Roode and James Storm at last years Bound For Glory. I'd say, with no hesitation, that he made no impact whatsoever. Pun totally intended.

Now, a year later, King Mo is not to be found anywhere in TNA. He's been mentioned a couple of times in passing but other than that, he's been nowhere on TNA television.

With all that said, where do you see Rampage and/or Tito in a year when it comes to being in TNA in any capacity? Gone? Champions? Commentators? Announcers?

I hope they're gone in all honesty. I'm not really a big fan of either and I don't think either really fit in. I'd prefer Sonnen to be in TNA than those guys.

First of all, I'd like everyone to stop clamoring for Sonnen. He's NOT coming to TNA because he's in UFC. The only way he'll end up in the company is if he leaves UFC entirely (on bad terms no less) and gets hired by Bellator. This entire MMA guys in TNA is being done entirely due to a war that Spike's owner, Viacom, is waging on UFC. This is due to Viacom's CEO, Philippe Dauman still being bitter about UFC leaving Spike for FOX after, in his words, "Spike really built UFC from almost nothing", which is obviously not true. Anyhow, Dauman is bitter and is using Bellator, and by proxy, TNA, to wage a losing battle against Dana White, who could probably give two shits what Dauman thinks. This entire situation is fucking over TNA but they really can't do anything about it since Spike is the network that's putting their show on and I doubt they'd be able to find anyone else right now.

So, with that all being said, I don't think anything will change in a year from now and there will probably be even more MMA cast-off's in TNA since that's what Dauman wants.

Thank you for providing people with the reality of the the situation. Viacome is trying to wage war with Zuffa and Dana White obviously doesn't care. Sonnen belongs in WWE, not TNA. But of course with UFC trying to sell their brand more then anything it won't happen. It'd be cool though.

Now Rampage I believe belongs in TNA. He has the personality and charisma of a pro wrestler and because he wants to "sell himself" so to say (which is why he left the UFC), it works well for him. Tito on the other hand is just a broke ass and needs the money, he can get bent for all I care.

Fuji's explanation is quite humorous when you generalise it like this: Bellator is to UFC what TNA is to WWE

I can't imagine Tito being around too long (his deal wasn't widely publicised like Rampage's, so I'm sure he's just there to hype the fight and he'll be gone), Mo has been a flop from day one (losing his first fight for Bellator didn't exactly set the world on fire). Rampage may stick around for a bit, but I don't see him being here this time next year.

And tbh, I don't see as many MMA guys coming in. I think once this experiment falls flat on it's ass the crossovers will dwindle.

I wouldn't be so sure. Who knows, TNA may have its own segment titled: UFC Castaways; starring Rampage Jackson & Tito Ortiz.

Interviewer: Rampage, why did you leave the UFC?

Rampage: Because people are always takin' people down and goin' to the judge's decision and Jon Jones kicked me in the legs and stomach so many times. I'm too dumb to stop a takedown and all that spinning kick shit should be banned and I didn't like it!

Interviewer: Tito, after being in the UFC for 15 years what made you sign with Bellator?

Tito: Jenna took all my money and I suck as an MMA manager so I needed something to fill my pockets.

Yeah that sounds just about right.

I'm on Alex's side. Rampage will probably still be in TNA in some capacity. He actually has a place in pro wrestling as he has the charisma, character and is accustomed to performing pro wrestling-esque suplexes and slams in his fights as is. Tito on the other hand will be an afterthought, no doubt. Hopefully King Mo gets called up at some point because he is actually putting the work in to learn how to wrestle and become assimilated in pro wrestling. King Mo is also pretty good on the stick so he could be a part-timer if nothing else, but I'd personally like to see him spend some time in a tag team to really learn the ropes.

You mean they are competing against eachother?

Well... looks like it didn't even take a year for both Rampage and Tito to be long gone. :p
