Just continue on with the main topic of your thread
On it...so...a question for the more long term fans...

Are the Chamber matches actually any good?
I mean...I've never seen one...

I know the rules and concept...and I know Goldberg
got screwed over in one back in his first WWE run...
but the matches are entertaining right?

Chamber matches can be good if they are done right but it is the type of match to really only have once a year.

Give you an idea:

Really it is just a fancy cage match with more wrestlers. This is why I never understood why they didn't do it with the women... Though I think they will in the future. It doesn't have to be a blood bath to be good.

Okay...I'm sick of this...I'm all for being oped-minded and listening to others...

But...

KevinMM38...you are the dumbest fucking idiot I've ever seen with access
to a keyboard and the internet.

You make me embarrassed to be a wresting fan and your views on Women's
Wrestling in particular make me personally feel sick as I read the bullshit you
call "your opinion"

I don't care what anyone else thinks...and if I get banned for posting this...well...
at least I've said my piece.

And its spelt "brittle" you dumb fuck...try using a spell checker!!!
My views on Women's wrestling is not to kill each other just to get the fans behind them. there is no need to do that. just good out there and tell a story plain & simple.

I agree with the story telling...and I never said I want these women (or the men for that matter)
to kill each other (looking at you Mick Foley)...But...

The only way for women's wrestling to truly grow and move in a forward direction is for them
(as a group) to be given the same opportunities as the men...and that means being placed
in the same high profile gimmick and special stipulation matches.

I want a good story telling...I want a story and characters I can be invested in...but...it is also
important to remember that this is pro-wrestling. Its meant to be entertaining and sometimes
when a feud calls for it...a gimmick/special stipulation match can be a great way to elevate or
end a feud.

Let's look at the Bliss vs. Lynch feud...

Its a simple story...Becky...finally on top with a title for the first time and Alexa...the young,
new talent with a mean streak looking to take Lynch down.

Now its an easy story to follow...Becky is easy to like...and Alexa is easy to hate (even though
I adore her) So...after an injury delay (and for the record...wrestling after internal surgery is
a lot different from wrestling with a broken nose or finger) Becky and Alexa faced off in what
was the best match they've had. Becky won...but not "cleanly" and Alexa was given a second
chance at TLC.

Now I would have rather seen a ladder match...but we got a tables match...and whats interesting
about that kind of match is you can have a surprise win out of nowhere without the loser looking any weaker because of it.

So...Becky goes through a table and even admits she underestimated Alexa. Now you couldn't
really have Alexa defeat Becky clean in a proper match...because while I think Alexa is fantastic...
her in-ring skills are still pretty green...and Becky Lynch is on another level...so it doesn't work
for the story if Alexa gets a clean win.

So since TLC we have had Becky chasing Alexa who has done everything she can to avoid a
proper match with Becky...which makes sense...because Alexa knows one on one...she can't
beat Becky.

Then the "La Luchadora" angle started...with Becky using the disguise to score a clean victory
over Alexa then Alexa turns Becky's own plan against her with another dirty win and also setting
up a possible "big reveal" when they finally decide to unmask La Luchadora.

Who is it? Most say Mickie James...but it could truly be anyone...or nobody...time will tell.

So...Daniel Bryan looks at the situation and says "Every match I book has been filled with
interference and excuses...so I can fix this.

Cage Match...

It feels organic and the feud has been written for this escalation. The other thing to remember
is there is an easy out in this match for Alexa...she simply climbs out...and being a former gymnast...the cage match "may" stop anyone getting in...but it actually works in Alexa's favor and it will allow her to once again defeat Becky without actually cleanly beating her.

Of course there still may-be interference with La Luchadora showing up to control the cage
door...or hell...they could have her come up through the ring seeing as its the main event and all.

And the fact that Becky once again fails in the cage could lead her to suggest the Elimination
Chamber match...

"Look Daniel...I can beat her...I can beat any woman on the roster. Put Alexa, La Luchadora and
me in the Chamber. They won't be allies if the title is on the line"

"But a chamber match needs 6?"

"Put Nikki and Nattie in there...let them tear each other to pieces...I'm sure they'll appreciate the
chance...and you could always stick Carmella in there away from her chin-less lover boy"

*Daniel begins nodding*

See...natural escalation of the story and stakes...and the women's division continues to move forward.

Give these women proper credit as performers and athletes...they deserve respect no matter what...but they'll earn even more by pushing the boundaries of their profession.

So I watched the match...and I'm pretty sure the SmackDown ladies could put on an entertaining
match...hell...it would just be the Backlash Six-Pack Elimination Challenge again...only inside a
giant black cage...with pods.

I've always liked that word...Pod/s...

2 thoughts:
Firstly...the black grate flooring that extends the overall surface area of the ring is...interesting
and does remove all possibility of in-ring to outside "spots" so...not the best place for Naomi...
And
Secondly...the pod panels should be made of sugar glass...not clear perspex. I like me some
sugar glass...as its safe(r) and lets be honest...shattering glass is cool.

You see Becky Lynch doesn't know how to put Alexa Bliss over properly. Sasha Banks put over Charlotte and she was willing to bury the hatchet with Charlotte. But Nia Jax ruined that by sticking her nose where it didn't belong. The Steel Cage match will be the end of Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch. And The La Luchadora unmasking will be revealed as Mickie James thus leading to a feud of Mickie James vs Becky Lynch at the elimination chamber ppv. The Elimination Chamber will only be need if there is controversy in the match and the cage makes sure of that fact.

Get it through your god damn head Grievous there will be no women's elimination chamber match. Vince won't put the women's division through that type of torture. if you put them in the chamber then there is no where else for the women's division to go. think about it.

I'm sure that plenty of people thought there would never be a woman's Hell in a Cell match either. I'd never say never.

I'm pretty sure Alexa holding the title is putting/getting her over...
Sasha Banks put over Charlotte and she was willing to bury the hatchet with Charlotte.
The Charlotte/Sasha feud felt forced especially the ending...and I doubt any
hatchet has been buried...they just fought each other again in a tag match.
[HASHTAG]#sashadeservesbetter[/HASHTAG]
But Nia Jax ruined that by sticking her nose where it didn't belong.
Well...they had to start the Sasha/Nia feud somehow right?
The Steel Cage match will be the end of Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch.
Possibly...if Alexa wins...but if Becky reclaims the belt...then no...because
Little Miss Bliss will want a rematch...perhaps at the Royal Rumble.
And The La Luchadora unmasking will be revealed as Mickie James thus leading to a feud of Mickie James vs Becky Lynch at the elimination chamber ppv.
Fair call...it could happen...
The Elimination Chamber will only be need if there is controversy in the match and the cage makes sure of that fact.
Dude...you have seen a cage match before right? Other people get in...like they climb in
or go through the door...happens all the time.

Unless your part of the WWE creative team...you can't be 100% certain of that...
Vince won't put the women's division through that type of torture.
Yet he'll put Charlotte & Sasha in a Hell in a Cell match and let Nikki Bella &
Carmella fight in a No DQ match...and he'll let Alexa & Becky fight in a tables
match and then a steel cage match?

What's the difference between a Hell in a Cell, a basic Cage match and the
Elimination Chamber?

Please...explain that to me...
if you put them in the chamber then there is no where else for the women's division to go.
I could list the many other types of matches the ladies could have...but I
did that in another thread...may-be even this one...I can't remember...
either way your being over dramatic about this entire situation.

If you just want basic, regular matches every week with no variety...that's
cool...your opinion.

I want the ladies to push boundaries and achieve all they can as performers.

I don't want them to be hurt in the process...I want them to eventually be on the
same level as the male performers...and they can't do that wrestling standard
matches every week and every pay per view.

Think about it...

If you're not enjoying this particular conversation, there are plenty of other threads to talk about things you might enjoy more. Grievous started this thread to talk about the possibility of an Elimination Chamber match for women. Your opinion has been made quite clear on this. However, that doesn't mean that just because you don't think it will happen that anyone has to shut up and not talk about it.

This is directed at everyone. Keep this thread civil and on topic from this point on.

I wish I was...let me see...where would I start:
~ Sasha gets another title shot at the Rumble and wins...
[HASHTAG]#sashadeservesbetter[/HASHTAG]
~ Cesaro & Rusev immediately get moved into the RAW main
event scene and challenge for the Universal & United States titles...
~ Big E leaves the New Day
~ Becky Lynch joins the Wyatts
~ Asuka gets called up undefeated and fights Charlotte at Wrestlemania
and
~ A Women's Elimination Chamber Match for the Smackdown Women's Title...
so would you please shut the hell up.
Never...you'll have to cut my tongue out...
or cut my fingers off...you get my point...

NEVER!!!

Okay...so a little update...
~ La Luchadora was revealed to be Mickie James...
~ Alexa Bliss retained her title in the SmackDown cage match...
~ Naomi is back...
~ A 6 woman tag match has been added to the Royal Rumble card...
Alexa, Mickie & Nattie vs. Nikki, Becky & Naomi...

It would appear that all roads lead to the Chamber...

SmackDown’s women are already aiming for Elimination Chamber

And it appears I'm not the only one who thinks that...

Book it WWE...Book it!

As long as they book all six women in singles matches. Naomi deserves a one on one title match. And Alexa Bliss shouldn't have to defend her title in the chamber because they can't control the anger between Nikki Bella & Natalya or Becky Lynch & Mickie James.

Naomi deserves a one on one title match.
How does she "deserve" a title shot? She hasn't done squat since Survivor Series...
Carmella is more "deserving" of a title shot...and that's saying something...
And Alexa Bliss shouldn't have to defend her title in the chamber because they can't control the anger between Nikki Bella & Natalya or Becky Lynch & Mickie James.
But therein lies the way Alexa wins (If she's booked to win) Becky & Mickie cancel each other out,
as do Nikki and Natalya...so Alexa only has to deal with Naomi as a direct threat.

Plus the pods could open in a strange order perhaps allowing Alexa & Mickie to
team up on the others...
