As I approach my half century mark I thought it would be neat to take a little musical journey. I have chosen 1 song for every year I’ve been alive. The first five years are songs that I grew to love as time went on since I don’t have any core memories about music during that time. The rest are song that I really vibed with are take me back to that time. I chose songs that were released that year or were still being heavily played during that year. Got much harder through the later years as iPods and Spotify made it so I couldn’t listen to tons of old music and didn’t really listen to much new stuff. Don’t know if anyone will give a turd but I figured id share nonetheless
(And yes some songs may get swapped out as I think more)

Back when my mom turned 60 I made a series of mix CDs with one song from each year of her life. That was harder as that was before Spotify so I had to research years and tracks down CDs at the library, but it was fun.

I don’t envy you even with Spotify it took a lot of wikipedia research and using just one a year is tough

If you like Hot To Go, I recommend checking out this video. It's a mashup of Hot To Go with Tony Basil's Mickey and about halfway through two other songs, one song that if I recall was pretty popular in the last go-round of BOTS and the other by an artist who was popular in the last BOTS.
